Aitutaki Lagoon Aitutaki
Cruise included great guides, music and luncheon, an informative island nature tour, demonstration on how to break coconuts and on different ways to use a sarong.
A treasure of nature is the lagoon!
One Foot Island Aitutaki
the nature trail was very informative, our guide showed us the huge mahogany tree, the hibiscus trees from which they use to make hula skirts, the coconut tree Aussie climbed in Survivor Cook Islands and the white...
It's a great place to visit with kids because there is a good mix of shallow and deeper water as well as plenty of nature to occupy them on the island, crab racing, sand, coconut trees etc.
Aroa Marine Reserve Rarotonga
Aro’a is a nature preserve on Rarotonga so when it is good, there are ample opportunities to catch lots of sea life.
You can park at the beach then 10 meters of walking and you are swimming with beautiful fish just a meter off the sand.
Titikaveka Beach Titikaveka
There were more activities and things to do around Muri but this part had some of the best parts for snorkel and just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature.
If you go for a swim or a snorkel just out of the car park, you will see quite some fish when you get to the coral formations, however if you decide to walk about 100 meters to the right, until you reach the anten...
Te Rua Manga (The Needle) Rarotonga
It's a beautiful hike and great way to see a part of the island that brings you closer to nature.
We did the walk from the car park (at the northern end of the walk) to the Needle and return as we left our car in the car park.
O'otu Beach Aitutaki
Great place to park up and have a swim and maybe a cocktail.
Muri Lagoon Rarotonga
... and the sunrise right out your window, Muri in particular, and Rarotonga is certainly a place to escape the hustle and bustle of life, soak up the beauty of nature, and return to a simpler more restful space.
Both visits I had wonderful time appreciating the beauty of scenary and mother nature.

Mount Maungapu Aitutaki
Great nature walk/hike with stunning views
It is accessible by scooter (for experienced riders), but best to park the scooter and climb the last section which is the steepest part.
Black Rock Beach Rarotonga
You can climb down the rocks down to the beach, or go further north and park there for direct beach access.
Nice park area in the shade.
Anatakitaki Cave (Kopeka Cave) Atiu
By its very nature, the makatea is full of small and large potholes and sinkholes, and is unforgivingly sharp and jagged.
Tikioki Marine Reserve Rarotonga
Gorgeous marine park
Safe, beautiful lagoon with masses of fish - just park up and walk into the water - no fuss, no reservations.
