Professional and friendly staff make all the difference!
(I should know, as I've booked many stay-in-SG activities these past two months and the difference in staff attitude and approach made our experience so much more enjoyable!)

My wife and I and three kids (aged 11, 13 and 14) - mostly newbies at Escape Rooms - did "The Purge" at Scape.
    Here's what we liked:

    1. Booking online was easy. No payment was needed until we had actually turned up at the venue.

    2. We got a friendly phone call about 10 minutes before our start time which was welcome as we were in the Scape mall rather than out the front, and hence we were "lost" even before our Escape!

    3. The rules were explained in a warm, friendly manner (unlike other activities we have done recently.)

    4. The staff called us and even came into the room to help us out with some clues... without making us feel like "losers". In fact, they cleverly engineered it so that we did get out ourselves within the hour.

The Escape room(s) for The Purge were smallish and aficionados might find this game basic, but we had chosen it because it was rated as the least difficult and we felt it was just right for newcomers (It would probably even be a challenge for experienced people to get out without any staff intervention at all).

Overall, a fantastic family activity! (No "devices" for a whole hour!)

It's fun and allows you to explore places within Chinatown that you may not have considered previously!

So fun man! One of the better escape rooms in Singapore. I have been to MANY escape rooms in Singapore, and often you get clues that don't make sense or don't link. Amazing Chambers has great props that use technology and logical clues. Satisfying!! We played Princess Radin Mas and 1603 Naval Battle of Changi which are the harder rooms in the selection. BIG THANK YOU to Adeleia for your guidance and recommendation. She gave clues in the appropriate manner and also told us which rooms were appropriate for kids. ONLY feedback is change is : change your phone number listed on Google as it's the wrong no! 😊

We did the Castiglione experience. It was very fun to go through the 4 puzzles and challenge our puzzle solving skills. Definitely recommended for those who like puzzles/escape rooms.

Some of the props/puzzles were damaged and would benefit from some maintenance / repair. For example one of the cages was missing one of the animals. Ultimately however, this did not detract from the overall experience.

    If you have
    1) not tried VR before,
    2) some friends (not more than 4 others) whom also have not,
    3) $59 each and 30 mins to spend,
then give zero latency a try.

its 30 mins for 2 games of your collective choice. we chose to face zombies twice in zombie survival.

It was a fun 1st time experience! the game was easy to get into but challenging enough. not too long until its tiring.

the game master was friendly and casual.

the downside was probably the price. if its cheaper, I will definitely return to try other games without hesitation.

first time playing in an escape room, the staff were very friendly and professional, and explained things very clearly. the puzzle was fun and challenging, a lot of lateral thinking was needed. The staff gave good clues, without giving anything away. The location is almost immediately adjacent to Harbour Front MRT, making it extremely accessible. The game lasted an hour, which was a good timing, and there are a lot of nice spots to eat or drink outside to refresh afterwards. The staff kindly offered to take a pic of us as we left as a momento. We are planning to go again shortly.

Me and my friends did the Purge room, its the easiest one but it was still a challenge for us. Needs a lot of good teamwork and tests your resolve! Great use of props! Staff was really helpful.

Great escape room but unfortunately, there were only 4 games there. A little too few, hopefully they will change the games soon!

I would say this is a refreshing way to explore Holland V, even for locals who might be familiar with this well-known neighbourhood. Timely pitstops, interactions with "NPCs" and bite-sized nuggets of history make for an enjoyable text-adventure-brought-to-life. The clever writing reminds me of MUD-style interactive fiction - triggering a dopamine hit when you "finally get it" and key in the right words.

Looking to try out the other neighbourhood tours, ideally with peeps who're up for some puzzle-solving and mini-Running-Man action

There will always be many reasons why you will revisit an attraction.

For Freeing SG @ Plaza Singapura, it will be their crews as well as the escape rooms itself.

My colleagues and I enjoyed ourselves while trying to solve the mystery behind "Back to The Future". The game room was well decorated/re-created to bring us back to the 1950s. They really put in lotsa effort to create the right ambiance.

I was glad that helpful/friendly staffs (Alastair and Hui Qing) were there to assist us whenever we are stuck in the game.

FYI - I was told Back to The Future was the most challenging room out of all the other themes they had. So you gotta be prepared.

You may want to try The Enchanted if you like fantasy sorta theme.
