The Gardens by the Bay were absolutely beautiful and totally worth the admission tickets. The flora and fauna are meticulously maintained and are magnificent. There are many informative information plaques throughout the garden and photo opportunities galore!

This is a beautifully laid out set of gardens which covers a large area. It's free to enter but within it is the National Orchid Garden which you'll have to pay a fee to enter.

It gets very hot here at the height of the day so you'll need to be fit to walk here.

This special garden lies within the Singapore Botanical Gardens. There is a fee to enter but it's well worth it.

The variety of orchids and the way the garden is laid out is excellent. They have a "cold house" which is well done and provides a short respite from the heat of the day.

It's a fair way in so be warned you have walk for about 30 minutes to get there. You'll need to be fit to deal with the heat of the day.

We spent about 45 minutes here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrive shortly after the misting started which was a big plus. The entire facility is impressive but the orchid area was particularly impressive.

If you’re also going to the outdoor light show you should try to visit the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome (both are included on the same ticket) before the light show. We went after the 7:45 light show and only had time to see the Cloud Forest,

We were fortunate enough to spend five nights at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel so we got to explore the bay every day. Much of the attractions are free: Gardens by the Bay, walk path around the Merlion park, the Helix pedestrian bridge. Overall it is a beautiful area to explore on foot.

Must come during the day time as well as at night. The Spectra light shows are simply magical. So many shops and restaurants, cafes, bars in this area. Perfect for people watching or resting from a long day of exploring.

The city lights make photographing super easy. Time spent here will create lasting memories for the trip!

Great views from the 165m wheel. Very well presented exhibition prior to entering the capsule on the wheel itself. It was a little hot inside the capsule, with only us (a couple) and a family of 4. Possibly uncomfortable if your capsule is full.

Jerry explained the story with her emotions and commitment inside. The story was heart-touching and motivating. I appreciate the good work of the guide, and the amazing galleries telling the history.

Did this at night. It's free and fantastic. Get there 15- 20 minutes before the show to secure a good spot on the stone benches beneath the trees.

We found a very good self guided walking tour online, followed it for a while to catch all the interesting sights, some will be reviewed separately. To mention a few: the Chinatown complex, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum, the City Gallery.

Saw some really unique buildings, like ones with bridges connecting the towers. Some with great roof top green spaces. We even went up to a roof top park for a good view to the temple.

It is a typical Chinatown vibe: yes, it smells a little funny. It is often very crowded and alleys are narrow. That is part of the charm. So many restaurants and cafes, mingling with endless cheap souvenir stalls. We found some cheap gifts to bring home.

Don't miss the wonderful bakery: Tong Heng. Best egg tarts ever, and delicious wife's pastries & curry puffs. Suggest go in the morning to beat the mid afternoon heat. We grabbed lunch here.

Impressive main road that is absolutely full of shops, shopping malls and eateries and bars. Some of the higher ends shops are here like Channel and Gucci but also shops like Nike and Adidas. Although everything is still top pricing
