What travellers are saying
- Zara MSwindon, UK16 contributionsFirst things first, if you are female and have anything other than face, hands and feet uncovered, be prepared to buy something to cover up before you can enter the Grand Mosque. Fortunately I had done my research so made sure I was dressed appropriately and had a scarf in my bag so I could cover my hair. There is no charge to visit the Mosque so I would have hated to have to spend money on clothing that I may never need to wear again.
We visited on Tuesday 10/05/22 and since we were there in good time decided to wait a few minutes for the free 10am guided tour. We later learned that this is definitely the best way to see the Mosque and we were lucky enough to be the only two people there, so had our own private tour. Our guide was Mariam (apologies if I haven't spelled that right!) and I can't praise and thank her highly enough. She was funny and engaging, but also very knowledgeable about the Mosque and its construction. She also helped us to better understand Islam which, I think, is important for everyone.
If you only do one thing in Abu Dhabi, visit the Grand Mosque which is absolutely stunning, and take the guided tour to really get the most out of your visit. We realised later that the tour gives you access to areas other visitors can only see as part of a crowd from the outside. You'll also learn so much about the building itself and Islamic culture.
Special thanks again to Mariam for making our visit so special and memorableWritten 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JAZZYLINABelfast, UK227 contributionsWe visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi on 20/05/22.
An amazing place full of arts, culture and architecture. It’s been many years since I visited the Louvre in Paris. This place definitely does not disappoint.
Top tip:- Remember to download the Louvre Abu Dhabi app free on Apple App Store or Google store for audio guided tours of the exhibition both the permanent and temporary exhibits.
Allow plenty of time for your visit it is enormous. Loved the Versailles & the World exhibit definitely my favourite.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mercy JohnKochi (Cochin), India65 contributionsBeautiful hotel. - Aloha_is_sharing_HaSaratoga, CA8 contributionsThe is by far the best place that I have watched a Formula 1 race so far. However, I am looking forward to Las Vegas. One day, maybe Laguna Seca in Monterey, California will make the list.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- shailesh5 contributionsNice 3d movies makes us enjoy very well also solo performances on the way are equally good and the thrill rides are too good.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James B5 contributionsThere is plenty to see along the Corniche; there are bikes for you to rent at the corners and it is very safe to walk along at any time. Would love to stay around here.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RezaManchester, UK47 contributionsTo be honest, after reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive to go to this theme park but I have to admit that I was wrong.
I thought with the heat, it might be a good idea to go late afternoon but this was absolutely not necessary! The whole theme park is indoors and air conditioned, so any time you go you’ll be alright.
We went on an off season time and didn’t wait longer than 5 minutes in any of the queues. We finished the whole park in like 3 hours and had time to try some of the rides for a second or third time.
The staff are lovely, polite, and go above and beyond to look after you and make sure your little ones have a good time. My 10-year-old boy had a really good time.
The only reason I gave it a four star is that it’s fairly small. It’s like 20% the size of Alton Towers.
Minding you, without proof of negative COVID test you cannot enter so have your certificate handy.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - michaeltholeBad Schwartau, Germany627 contributionsThe visit of Qasr AL Watan was amazing. What a splendor! Jewels everywhere, we did not know at what we should look at first. - ayeshaDubai, United Arab Emirates10 contributionsYas Mall is one of the known mall in Abu Dhabi. What makes this mall special that it lays within yas island entertainment area.
You can visit the mall as a resting/dinning place after visiting any of Yas entertaining theme parks (Ferrari world, Warner Brothers and Yas Waterpark)
The mall has everything! From cafes to gracious restaurants, to plying areas and enjoyable architectural scenery.
It is perfect place for familyWritten 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Corinne GMelbourne, Australia54 contributionsWhat a wonderful place to enjoy being spoiled with a luxurious high tea. Food was amazing, view to die for and staff to look after your every need.Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ben HCorte Madera, CA30 contributionsAbsolutely the best thing we did in Abu Dhabi, hands down. If you have any desire to learn more about Falcons and Falconry this is a must-do. Our guide, Hassan, was incredibly knowledgeable but just as importantly, funny! He was able to keep a crowd that spoke at least four different languages, engaged for the entire tour. It was amazing to be up close and personal to witness a bird “pedicure” and also to watch a feeding from very close up. Even watching a surgery in action was amazing and shows how much these birds are really cared for.
I can’t say it enough: do this tour!Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Maria Alejandra ZAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates8 contributionsOne of the best beaches where i have had the oportunity to bathe and enjoy during the time I live in Khalidiya has been on the corniche beach. Really a quiet beach, celan and relatively close even to get there walk.
Perphaps the only thing that the beach lacks to be more comfortable is to have some umbrellas in the public area to cover yourself from the sun.
My husband and I used to train for triathlon swimming there al 6 am.Written 31 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Brenda ANew York City, NY91 contributionsMade a quick trip here. Many stores to chose from. The area is beautiful with so much to do if the mall is not your thing. Walking around the area if you have the time would be worth it.Written 25 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
