Nice place to visit in Friday morning. Lots of stalls with cool crafts. Many graphite around. You can eat some breakfast in one of many restaurants around.

Fourth visit to Tel Aviv and have used the Tourist info center each time. Great and friendly staff, especially Poli😊. Eager to help with directions, trips, information and advice. Also easy to find, right on the beach👍

Try to do a free tour with them. We did one in English at 11 on a Tuesday and it was great. Learn about the very interesting history of this area that was a settlement of German Protestants before Tel Aviv was even founded; explore a special underground passage for wine; watch the first high-tech olive press in Israel; and end up with a special treat in the market (if you are lucky). (P.S. the guide will accept tips at the end if you feel inclined)

Definitely go to the old stone part of the port, there are signs pointing to the artist galleries. This area is fascinating and has undergone some beautiful restoration. Don’t miss the Andromeda Rock. And, if you have time, enjoy the movie.

We recently took two athletic grandchildren to The Olympic Experience in Tel Aviv. In general, it was a high-tech, sophisticated, even moving (when dealing with the massacre of the 11 Israeli athletes in the Munich Olympics of 1972) exhibit. But our 14-year-old was too old for the first third of the show, as much younger children were clowning around and not overly interested, and the last audio-visual part had seating with very obstructed views. We couldn't see the screens, and that was annoying. (The middle section, with a 360-degree panorama, was excellent, spotlighting many Olympic highlights that were not necessarily related to Israel.) The entire show takes less than an hour and it's not really an activity for the whole day, or even the whole afternoon. (It helped that we went out for dinner afterward!) The entry fee was expensive enough that the exhibit could have been more elaborate. On the bright side, there was plenty of free parking, unusual in Tel Aviv. All in all, I recommend it, but don't expect too much--that way you won't be disappointed.

This huge convention center is spread over a wide park, next to Tel Aviv's amusement park.
The place is very well organized, however, parking can be an issue during big conventions.
