Joseph Bau and his wife Rebecca were a truly remarkable, and until recently, and under recognized couple. This museum vividly captures their life, from the Holocaust (their characters were depicted in Schindler's List) and heroic rescue of fellow Jews in the Shoah, to their emigration to Israel at its inception.
Joseph Bau's contributions to the State of Israel, in so many different fields, cannot be overstated, but because he was a Mossad agent (involved in the Eichmann abduction!) had to fly under the radar. His story, through film, and so touchingly told by his daughter, is an experience I will never forget.

Newe Zedek was the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv. It's a cosmopolitan area, a great place to live in, or have a coffee. Newe Zedek is a great place to go for a stroll and soak up the vibes.

Located within the impressive TLV university campus, ANU is a must visit museum for Jewish heritage and history. There is a very good guided tour (45 minutes). Tsvi was our guide: Friendly, knowledgeable and informative. But you need at least 3 to 4 hours to cover the beautifully presented and interesting variety of subjects the museum holds/offers.
If you need a break during your visit - there is a nice cafeteria.
    Highly recommended.

I spent a day at this fantastic art gallery. The collections are well thought through and the building flows really well. Staff were extremely welcoming to a foreign visitor and provided lots of advice. The cafe is excellent. The gallery has some very surprising and fascinating paintings, especially from Chagall.

Enjoyed the area during the night, great for dining out at one of the many restaurants close by.

With the lights at night port area looks really good and has a great vibe to it, during day not so much.

Certainly one of the main things to do in Tel Aviv.

The Palmach Museum is reasonably large and has a wonderful tour. I came early and had an opportunity to speak with the IDF lady behind the reception desk; she was most informative. This museum really educated me about the fight to found Israel. Of all the museums I"ve been to here, so far, this one is the best.

Tuesday at the Nachalat Binyamina closed off street is much quieter than on a Friday. Very different artists showing off their works. Worth an hour. Plan to buy something or a few things! Great for home art, gifts for children and/or grandchildren.

The Yitzak Rabin Center is located in Tel Aviv. It is a library, museum and research center. It commemorates the life and death of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995). He has become a symbol of peace in the Middle East. The site of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination is in Rabin Square, in downtown Tel Aviv. You can reflect on the sad death of a visionary who did much for his people.
