Yad Vashem is simultaneously educational, heartbreaking, confounding, grief inducing and profound. It is something every tourist who visits Israel must see. Upgrade to the guided tour - you won't regret it.

We decided to visit the Israel Museum on the Saturday that we were in Jerusalem. We thought we might spend 1.5-2 hours at the museum, and we would plan the rest of the day on the fly. We walked out of the museum 5 hours later - 15 minutes before the museum closed for the day. What a place - its a must see!

Such a holy place for all people, you walk through a wooden door & the key to the door is held by a Muslim family.
Jesus Christ crucified and taken down from the cross, anointed on the stone.
Visit the grotto of nativity and tome of Jesus such a moving place, words don't describe this place. This is a place to visit at least once in your life.

What an amazing and unique tour at (underneath) the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The tour was extremely informative and our guide was top notch. Don't miss the Western Wall Tunnels Tour when you are in JLM.

I liked Mahane Yehuda more than some of the other markets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It was wider so much easier to walk through and a little less chaotic. I did not view it as a tourist trap. Yes, it was a good place for tourists but it was also a good place for Israelis to shop for food and household needs. It was also near Jaffa St and Ben Yehuda which are also good shopping areas. I actually was unable to find some of the touristy souvenir items I was looking for. I wanted to purchase some spices and found that even when you say a specific amount, you will be given far more than you want. Be ready to bargain and tell the vendor that you don't want so much. You will not be insulting them because this is how they do business.

Excellent experience to walk thru tunnel. We had bright headlamps which helped greatly. We took our time and had a good size group. No rush. Just enjoy the sights.

The site where JUSUS prayed. What a feeling you can feel ( at least we could) to walk where JESUS walked.

Located in the Muslim Quarter of Old Jerusalem, near the confluence of the Lion's Gate, the start of the Via Dolorosa and across from the rear exit of Temple Mount, sits the lovely Romanesque Church of St. Anne. This beautiful French, Roman Catholic Church built by The Crusaders in 1138, replaced an earlier Byzantine church above the Pools of Bethesda. Built in tribute to St. Anne, mother to the Virgin Mary, a simple shrine commemorating the birth of Mary at this location lays in the cave/crypt below the church, which is said to be the original home to Mary and her parents, Anne & Joachim. With soaring, vaulted ceilings the Church is light and airy, and possesses exceptional acoustics. We had the pleasure of entering while a Christian group was singing "How Great Thou Art", which absolutely moved me to tears. Gardens surrounding the church are tree-shaded, lovely and serene. The healing waters of the Pools of Bethesda and where Jesus Christ healed the paralytic man, are adjacent to the Church of Saint Anne, where the original Byzantine Church was located earlier. This is the oldest remaining Crusader Church in Jerusalem, with an interesting history surrounding it. This felt like a highly sacred area, where we witnessed many groups singing, praying and conducting Bible worship. My adult son and I were deeply, spiritually moved throughout the Church and its grounds.

Great place to visit with a guide, had a lot of history behind it. Massive amount of visitors every day.
Try not to visit and “just walk”, havre a guide or an audio guide( no audio guide on premise - download in advance )

We stopped here as part of an Israel tour. It is fun to walk through. Stop at the Blue and White Gallery, the prints are very creative and not expensive. The owner is a great guy.

This is a must see. The church is beautiful and the lower levels are amazing. It really gives you the feeling of what our Lord went through during his last hours.

Great experience. Wonderful presentation. Highly recommended.
How Israel from its founding fathers, until today including the hard en dark ages.
Surprised how Christians in the last century have treated the Jews and how they have empowered the rise of the nation in contradiction to the Middle Ages.

The tomb is not marked, so we walked by it by mistake. When we tried to go back a few days later it was closed due to a voting day. Go to the tomb, the garden and the church in this area so it's worth the walk from the old city.
