You can pray again and again over all your issues fully and without haste! I visited both along with the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, so what is most special to Jews, Muslims & Christians for the full experience of Old Town Jerusalem!
And what was most special of all, is that My Special Jewish Friend in My Holy Mission Global sensed when I prayed for him at the Western Wall! Simply Amazing! There are also a few Orthodox Monasteries & Churches, very important Biblically! It protects the Golgotha rock where Jesus was nailed to his cross, died and also the place where he was buried before resuscitating. It has a very spiritual meaning to Christians, and the Middle Eastern vibe of the decorum makes it all the more so special. However, the way the place is administrated (you can read about it in any guidebook) means it's almost dereclit in places. It can also be very crowded and queues to visit the Tomb of Jesus can strech over an hour. - Karen WLong Island, NY12 contributionsI liked Mahane Yehuda more than some of the other markets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It was wider so much easier to walk through and a little less chaotic. I did not view it as a tourist trap. Yes, it was a good place for tourists but it was also a good place for Israelis to shop for food and household needs. It was also near Jaffa St and Ben Yehuda which are also good shopping areas. I actually was unable to find some of the touristy souvenir items I was looking for. I wanted to purchase some spices and found that even when you say a specific amount, you will be given far more than you want. Be ready to bargain and tell the vendor that you don't want so much. The Garden Tomb is a place for Christian worship and witness.

Although, there are some shops this is more residential than the Arab or Armenian quarters. “I visited this place” when going to the Old City Western Wall. I have eaten at a number of the places here.
