What travellers are saying
- Denny BFort Wayne, IN1 379 contributionsThe peacefulness of olive trees which have existed for hundreds of years. Yet, so significant when considering the historical steps of our Lord Jesus Christ. A must visit.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LipaTel Aviv, Israel5 contributionsThis is an oasis of peace sandwiched between busy high roads. I am not a botanist, but enjoy wandering through the paths between exotic species.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tuteylpJerusalem, Israel23 contributionsEntrance is free. There are of course the roses. Every rose bush has its name. There are shown with their original country, or with their shape. There is a pond and a Japanese garden, also e small waterfall. Birds like this place, and is not rare to be joined by a hoopoe. Many paths lead to the park. On Friday morning you see groups of people enjoying the fresh air doing tai-chi. One thing you do not find....noise!Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

MY EXPERIENCE
I was there last night, 2200h on a warm evening of the “sand of the season” of the Passover holiday. It was incredibly crowded and packed with families of revelers, incredibly noisy, incredibly active- to the point that it was difficult to navigate the main pathways without being blocked by large families with big multiple seat strollers, huge men who had had too much barbecue meat (see my “helpful “ photos), and little children unsupervised on all kinds and varieties of mobile riding toys, as well as pedal and motorized bicycles dangerously weaving their way through the packed crowds of holiday celebrants…. And that didn’t begin to comment on all the barbecues (against park regulations) with their wafting fragrances… and the litter.
One new incredible addition since my last visit (and TripAdvisor review of 2019) is the gigantic massive construction of many many climbing and hanging toys, swings and tunnel sliding boards that are maybe up to almost 8 meters high (or more)- it is quite massive, and draws and attracts many many of those young, and young at heart.
TIP
Go, but not on a holidayWritten 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - PudikTel Aviv, Israel767 contributionsGreat water reservoir, huge even for today view, remained from ancient Jerusalem water delivery infrastructure. Two thousand years from Herod's time doesn't destroyed elements of water system. The water reservoir is open and could be clearly seen in the park (old cemetery) opposite Waldorf-Astoria hotel, the remains of water delivery tunnels could be seen in the Independence park ("Gan Ha-Azmaut"). Worth to see and imagine the scale of ancient structures.Written 21 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beachlovernc2015Leland, NC1 248 contributionsSpent some time walking through this beautiful garden early in the morning. We were with a group doing a Holy Land tour and this was a good spot to contemplate and discuss some scriptures. You get great views of the Old City and the walls surrounding plus the garden itself is well maintained and provides well done paths to walk.Written 17 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
