A really good tour. I took it on Thursday, surprisingly there were not as many tourists in the main places of interest as I expected.
The tour started in the morning. We were picked up at a place, which was just a few minutes walk from my hotel. The pick up bus was around 20 min late due to traffic (which had been mentioned as a possibility in the tour confirmation letter). The lady who was meeting us with the pick up bus was rude, which obviously spoilt the mood at the beginning. After that we were taken to the main bus stop where our big bus was grouped according to the tour that everyone had booked and we were taken to the right buses, so the tour could officially begin.
Yoav was the bus driver - tour guide. A very cheerful and funny man, who knows his job and is willing to answer any questions. He joked a lot, which made the tour more entertaining. Sometimes it gets overwhelming to listen to a lot of history and dry facts na this jokes definitely helped to keep everyone's spirit high. Unfortunately the traffic was heavy and we were always in a rush, trying to get to places on time. Luckily the group was small and it was easier for Yoav to manage us.
We had to change the bus and tour guide in Bethlehem. Mariam, who took over Yoav and continued the tour in Bethlehem, was amazing! Such a warm and welcoming person, who is truly passionate about her job and is proud of who she is (a Palestinian Christian). A very inspiring lady.
We had lunch at a Christian cafe. The food was very simple, yet good. I would appreciate if we had more choice of where to eat (I think some people in the group were surprised by the place and the price was a bit expensive for a quick casual lunch). Nevertheless the waiters were very friendly and tried to make us feel comfortable.
We finished the tour in a Christian shop where one can find all sorts of religious artifacts, handmade decorations, beautifully carved crosses, fantastic jewelry, etc. I think you should mention this in your itinerary as a point of interest. One doesn't have to buy something in this shop, just to see all those beautiful items is worth visiting the city. Honestly, in 4 days that I spent in Israel, I didn't see anything as gorgeous as what I saw (and bought) in that little shop. One girl from the group truly regretted later that she hadn't bought a hand carved Bible as a gift for someone back home. I saw something similar but not as beautiful at the airport later but it wasn't the same. Hope she managed to find it somewhere else.
Jerusalem and Bethlehem are the cities of contrasts. It was interesting to see the difference between the Israeli and Palestinian territories. I recommend this tour to people who would like to understand a bit better the history of Israel and how religion started in general. I learnt some really interesting facts from this trip. Next time, I'll take a private tour though, so I have more time to wander through the souq and spend in the holly places without being rushed.

After a slightly chaotic start ( couldn’t see guide, had to wait to change buses etc) this was a brilliant trip- much recommended . Our guide Dan Porges was excellent and brought it all to life , he went out of his way to explain and help (even lending me his phone to call overseas when my phone was blocked) Superb guide

We had a great time on this trip. Our tour guide Ali was outstanding. The first day felt like a bit of a filler as really all we wanted to see was Petra but it was still good. The food was fine. The campsite was better than we expected. Petra was incredible. Everything we wanted and more. The days are very long and exhausting but the distances are huge and there were sufficient stops. I’d definitely recommend it

Dan Porges, is clearly a very experienced tour guide, who knows his subject back to front and in a lively way manages to injects life and meaning into every stage of the tour of the land of the Bible, thereby making it a memorable and most treasured experience. I will most certainly be going again.

I really enjoyed the first part. Avi, our tour guy was very profesional tour guid. He showed and explained a lot which was helpful. I didn’t really enjoy the second part because the tour women was kind of monotoned and it was hard to listen to what she’s saying.

We had a wonderful day touring Old and New Jerusalem! Because of the thorough itenarary, we got to explore a big chunk of the city, and to experience many different cultures and religions, all in close proximity. Whether you are religious or not, it will definetly be worth the trip. Our guide, Aaron Garcia, was very knowledgable, humorous and passionate concerning the history of Jerusalem, which also made the tour all the more interesting and rewarding. All in all, you should definetly do the tour, if you really want to get a feel of the city, and truly want to understand the complex history and importance of the place.

We arrived at the meeting place and broke into our groups. There were four of us that drove to our guide on the other side who took us on our tour. He was very knowledgeable. We got to see everything we wanted.

If you want to get the highlights out of Israel while in Jordan, this tour is for you. Bobislam was my driver and provided a clean car and good conversation to/from the border. Bobislam was very helpful explaining what was needed to cross the border and helped me with the border agents to get the necessary information filled out. It was very painless! I did not have to pay the Jordanian exit fee of 20JD, but I'm not sure if that will always be the case. You will be charged 7JD on the bus leaving Jordan. The guy taking your bus fee will also ask if you have a bag, which will increase the fee. The guide met me at the arrivals entrance and provided a well paced tour of all the sights mentioned in this tour. My guide was easy to talk to and provided great insight into the history of Israel. You will get VIP treatment where you'll get to pass several very long lines to see specific interests. Leaving Israel was also painless. You can use your Visa/MC to pay the Israel exit fee if you don't have Shekels. Bobislam was contacted by my guide to ensure he would be at the arrivals entrance in Jordan upon my return. You will have to pay 4JD for the bus fee on the way back to Jordan. It was such a great experience all around!

My spouse and I took the half day tour from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. It was our first time traveling to the West Bank. We had such a positive experience with Elijah Tours for a variety of reasons:
*Guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Natalie was our guide in the West Bank. As a local, she was a great resource.
*The sweets shop and gift shop - part of the tour - were actually fantastic. The knafeh was the best we’ve ever had!
*We were so happy with the level of hospitality all-around throughout our visit
*We loved the stops made along the route to see some Banksy graffiti.

    Highly recommend this experience!

The tour was great! The tour includes a trip to masada, which is a historically important fortress. The group goes up by cablecar, you can not walk the way up (snake path e.g. closed during summer time).
The second stop was ein gedi, where we visited one part of the national park. You have the chance to take a dip into the water.
Last stop was a beach at the dead see, where we spent two hours, which were more than enough to eat and swim.

Our tourguide Dotan did an amazing job in explaining everything we saw, giving us background information and the overall programm of the tour. Dotan is very attentive and makes sure, everyone is well and enjoying.

Would recommend this tour if youd like to get an overview of the places mentioned.

The tour worth the price, the tour guide very nice and informative. The driver also very cooperative. The guide explained everything properly in a funny way. The lunch was a charity, I did not eat. They did not provide water nor snack during the trip, so don’t wait for a lunch, go with food and water or keep buying during the trip. But sill was very nice trip due to the guide even the nice people that provide de cold and old cooked food.
