- Karen WLong Island, NY12 contributionsI liked Mahane Yehuda more than some of the other markets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It was wider so much easier to walk through and a little less chaotic. I did not view it as a tourist trap. Yes, it was a good place for tourists but it was also a good place for Israelis to shop for food and household needs. It was also near Jaffa St and Ben Yehuda which are also good shopping areas. I actually was unable to find some of the touristy souvenir items I was looking for. I wanted to purchase some spices and found that even when you say a specific amount, you will be given far more than you want. Be ready to bargain and tell the vendor that you don't want so much. You will not be insulting them because this is how they do business.Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lei leiSan Francisco, CA3 contributionsworthy of a few hours to explore and shop! you won't be able to escape the shops anyways since they are on your way to anywhere you want to go inside the Old City. lots of stuff to buy, but, as our first taxi driver warned us, you've got be tough in bargaining (cut the offering price in half!), or prepare to pay a lot more since these shop-owners are pros of the pros :-) even if you don't intend to buy anything, it's a pleasant walk if you got the time, and many little snacks to try (i.e. tea and pomegranate juice)Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Worth a visit !Written 19 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - traveltime111San Diego, CA2 124 contributionsThis shop is on the busy Agrippas street just around the corner from the well known Mahane Yehuda Market.
They have a huge selection of candies ranging from the usual favorites to more exotic brands from all over the world.
The prices are some of the best I've seen in Israel and they are very efficient considering how busy it is at the store..
There are also cold drinks there.
The street is loads of fun with great atmosphere and a large variety of shops.
Of all the candy stores I've been to in Jerusalem, this is easily my favorite.Written 1 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
