This place, is absolutely beautiful, is just in front of the National Museum, the view from Mosque is lovely, Inside is also very beautiful.
A beautiful building inside and outside, one of the sights to see in Astana, it can host several thousand people, the interior is separated in parts for ladies and men as well as for families, the ladies can go up...
It is conveniently located in the Panfilov Park complex which means other historical and tourist sites are nearby to visit and enjoy!
In addition to the gold - dappled bling be sure to view each of the candle - loaded stations as each of the locals appear to give a benediction at each.
A must visit, 360 degree View of Astana from Bayterek is Awesome, Highly Recommended.
An iconic tower erected in 1997 when the capital of Kazakhstan was moved from south to Astana with 105 metres hieght offers a wonderful bird`s eye view of a city.
Kok-Tobe Hill Almaty
After the smooth cable car ride to Kok-Tobe Hill, we found a range of local stalls, fun rides, a couple of restaurants, a small zoo, a summer toboggan ride, spectacular views over the city and THE FAB FOUR.
Really nice place to visit even alone, take the eye and the fast coaster to have fun !!! ;) amazing view of the mountains and attraction park for the kids.
Food it`s amazing and the lovely view makes you feel great.
Our hostel was just some minutes away from this beautiful building so we walked past it a lot - and everytime I stopped and enjoyed the view.
But I think the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation is an outstanding landmark of Kazakhstan's ambitions.
One of the most beautiful sights in Astana
Astana Arena Astana
There are food available on site and a bus stop near the stadium.
View is clear from almost every corner.
Very worthwhile site to include camel rides, drinking fresh camel's milk, and touring an underground mosque.
I highly recommend anyone visiting Kazakhstan to come here and combine it with a trip to other ancient sites in the area (Otrar, Sauran, etc).
After the vestibule door, we came to the closed metal screen but could easily view the beautiful soaring Gothic interior, gilded altar and stained glass windows.
A fantastic serene experience as you wd expect from any visit to a site of worship.
We were not able to explore the cathedral, but had sufficient view of the interior to be impressed by the effort that has been put into creating such a magnificent cathedral.
It's not only a well made square it's also the centre of so many other landmarks .You can combine it with your visit to the Pyramid , to National Museum and the brand new Mosue that are close.
Tamgaly Tas Almaty
There are several different sites that you walk to, the last part is uphill and has some of the best petroglyphs.
I was quite shocked at the $250/person price that most tours were asking for this UNESCO site - but a female friend and I did it on the cheap and without a guide - it was fabulous!
The views are great and here you can fully enjoy the city vibes.
I loved the view.
Tamgaly Gorge Almaty Province
Highly recommend this site, one of my highlights of Kazakhstan and of ancient places.
We hired a private driver from Almaty who took us out to this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Tamgaly.
A colleague took me here on my first visit to Almaty -- it was a clear, beautiful fall day and the view is great.
