1st day here, met up with a new friend I made on the flight over. This market is massive. 15,000 stalls! Usual duplicate vendors flogging the staple tshirts etc, but there are sections that cater to the art collector, fashion gurus, you name it. I came across a second hand bookstore that was huge and I’m putting aside another day to visit so I can throw my eyes over everything they have, many old books that would not be available in the west. What else? Oh yeah..the food! Wow, caught the beautiful fragrance of lemongrass to see a very old lady with her traditional Thai kitchen, Pad Thai etc for a couple of dollars and it’s as authentic and as fresh as you could get it. A must visit whilst you are in Bangkok.

I love this mall. It has everything you could possibly need. Go grab some food at the massive food court and then go get some luxury shopping done right above!

Very impressive mall with Maserati and Porche dealerships inside. Food court with bangkok street food venues where I had excellent pad thai for 100 baht.

I'be been here before COVID and the experience was very different. COVID took is toll in Bangkok. Only about 25% of the stalls are occupied it is really sad to see a once buzzing area changed to a tranquil and quite place.

Bring said the above it is still worthwhile visiting. Eating here is memorable. I ate the best Thai cuisine dish at KUE Sa Wa Dee out of all the previous 15+ trips to Bangkok and the islands.

Big wheel is still operational as well as the spooky: Mystery Mansion. Still a big photo opportunity market

It is only 30-40 mins from central Bangkok. It is opened during weekends 8.00-17.00 but most of food stalls are shut at 15.00... I reckon you come here before 10am just to avoid the crowd and easy to find parking space/dining table. It is pretty busy after 11am.

You can buy food and sit anywhere you want. Try to get tables near the canal for floating market atmosphere. More food at the market on the left side from market entrance. The one on the right side is smaller.

Long Tail Boat trips are available for shared and private boat. I have eaten a lot of food and bought some clothes from here. Polite and kind local people tho. Highly recommended,

Central World is touted as the largest lifestyle shopping complex in the region and a trip to here explains. The greater complex actually host a hotel, office space, cinema and even an indoor ice skating rink, but for tourists… let’s review shopping and food! The sprawling premise offers an unrivalled mix and range of products and services that will put the fun back into shopping for all.
Not quite the High-end (likes of ICONSIAM) it’s value proposition is that of a Mid-class shopping center. Still Central World's brought in good mix of renowned brands. Alongside department stores there are both local and overseas brand that one can send hours shopping! I myself bought a Japanese Kamimura shirt with a great discount at Central Department Store, pity they do not carry Yibesu.
Dining at Central World is a treat for the palate, there's something to suit all styles and budgets. One can sample authentic Thai food in the comfort of restaurants and the many overseas cuisines from around the world. In fact there was a Japanese Fair area and many things Japanese are available,
Conveniently linked to the continuous R-Walk we dropped by Central twice during our 5-nighhts Stay nearby. Definitely recommended for all.

We arrived at Sanam Chai metro station and the Flower Market was well sign-posted.

The Flower Market is covered, so it was nice to shelter inside and escape a heavy rainfall.

The Market seems to be bisected by a major road, and each side seems to have fruits/veg and flowers (lots of marigolds, roses, orchids). On one side there is also a shrine.

Eating is more challenging here as we didn’t find a lot on offer, but we did find a street-side restaurant selling pad-Thai and noodles - AND we could sit down - for 50 THB, and both were fantastic.

I did feel a bit voyeuristic in the market, but nobody seemed to mind our being there. Occasionally a motorbike would whizz through the market, and plenty of men pulling enormous wicker baskets - one even had an old lady in it!

We enjoyed it and found it very vibrant.

Go after 8, walk through the shopping centre, the market is outside.

Lots of choice here, and there are some handmande goods and retro clothing, a much better selection tha all of the other Bangkok markets.

Great for food and drinks too, some great choices.

    Supermarket is on level 2 & 3.
On level 1, there is a Giordano, some restaurant & fashion shops.

Bought some Thai snacks and fruits.
Shopping bag in supermarket are chargeable, so remember to bring your own.

There is a bridge linked to centralwOrld.
I didn’t walk over though and took a Tuk tuk (after bargain) back to hotel after a long day in Safari World.

Incredible market primarily for food. Showed cased in a number of foodie programs such as Andrew Zimmer and late Andrew Bourdain. Open 24/7. Vegetables, fruit, fish, meat and kitchen utensils. As noted by plenty of reviewers don’t wear sandals or flip flops - this is a wet market.

We went around 5 pm, not so warm and it was walkable and easy to shop.
    Enjoyed the lively environment.
Managed to get few good bargains.
Although the main market was already closed, we toured the stalls along the main road.
Enough to ignite the shopaholics in us.
