- Thomas WTexas9 contributionsBoudhanath Stupa is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Kathmandu valley. A great stupa in the center of city. If you are traveling to Kathmandu, please do visit and spread the word aroundWritten 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Raj G3 contributionsIt was so peaceful to enter the shrine. So many devotees attending the temple on a daily basis. Nice opportunity to see the main deity up so close.Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- duhozBeroun, Czech Republic5Â 245 contributionsUnfortunately still visible damages after the earthquake (2015). This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers ancient palaces and temples. Steep entrance fee of 1000 NPR even when you just need to cross the square if you are foreigner, after 6 pm free. You will be constantly bothered by number of young men offering to be your guide. The major Interesting thing to see here is "Kumari (The Living Goddess). Taleju Temple is the landmark of the square unfortunately is not open to public. What I detested were motor bikes operation on the square in the evening.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CKFCT2Â 111 contributionsIf you are new to large Asian and middle eastern markets, hang onto your hat (and your belongings)! This bazaar is a wild experience, even for the well-heeled global traveler. You will be packed shoulder to shoulder with bikes, cars, fruit carts, and other people--to name a few things! But the noise, sights, and stalls will be something to remember. Sensory overload for sure! What can't you find at this bazaar?
Recommend keeping your money close and do not bother with a large camera/any camera.
Be brave and give it a try! It is sure to result in a story.Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sivakumar VBengaluru, India1Â 509 contributionsThis 144 feet tall statue is the tallest Shiva in the world. Built of cement, copper and zinc, this statue has a very beautiful smiling face of Lord Shiva. It is in Bharkatpur in Nepal. About 2 hr drive from Kathmandu.
A nominal entrance fee is levied. The entire location is calm , beautiful and well maintained. A shop selling snacks and artifacts is in place near the statue.
