Absolutely and utterly delighted with the Babies of the Wild is Life animal sanctuary . But then feeding the Giraffe comes a close second, and then ......in fact everything. The welcome , brilliant tour guide, food fabulous amazing diversity of healthy animals who are happy to be where they are . It reminds us how important conservation is here in Zimbabwe. So respect they ethos on rescued animals and the reintegration in the wild if possible.
A must if in Harare for visitors who are short on time . You will not regret it.

Kuimba Shiri Bird Sanctuary is a delightful destination. Restaurant is set up is awesome, under the spreading trees in the garden and the bank of the Lake Chivero. Bird sanctuary has number of birds. We did enjoy the meals with Zambezi beers. We visited in April 22.

Dear friends arranged an outing to Thetford Game Reserve to celebrate my birthday with me. You will need to book well ahead of time as this is a popular attraction and well worth including in your itinerary. I visited in 2018, but I'm not able to click an earlier date than Feb 2020.

Located just 5 kilometers on the cities outskirts of Harare, the Mukuvisi Woodlands is the ideal spot to spend a personal day out of the office to unwind and have some personal time or spend time with loved ones. The quiet and tranquil nature reserve has many hidden and nestled layby resting spots to which one can either have a picnic or simply soak up all of the wildlife and natural attraction around the reserve. Offering a whole jungle’s worth of fauna and flora. The entire woodland reserve covers more than 200 hectares, and if you’re lucky you’ll get a glimpse of impalas, giraffes, crocodiles, and zebras. Other conventional activities include guided pony rides and bird walks, of which I highly doubt one would part take in as the ambiance at Mukuvisi is so relaxing, one can not but enjoy the serenity over a cold beverage from the nearby coffee shop. And to cap off the experience, one the way out a souvenir store in which to purchase a keepsake of what will no doubt ably a day to remember.

I was there as a volunteer for a month and I had the most amazing time. People are welcoming, Sarah is great and always available to answer your questions and organizing activities for you to discover the region, the culture etc.
The place is beautiful, you'll fall in love with it and especially with each and every one being rescued there, willing to offer and receive so much love. The place is completely ethical and I would definitely recommend volunteers from all over the world to experience Twala as a volunteer. I'm gonna miss it so much and can't wait to go back as soon as it's possible <3

Haka is one of the best places. Very quiet and you don't have to drive out of the city. The safest game park, you can park and take a walk around the park as there are no dangerous critters in here. You can drive further in and park close to the water. I have made this my go to place for some quiet time. the prices is a bit flip floppy though...even for current Zimbabwe. The US Dollar price seems to go up and down, sometimes its $3 sometimes its $4

The place is breathtaking. Great for that getaway, far far from the madding crowd. No cellphone reception so you are really taking a break. My only challenge was the road to the park, too rugged even for my 4x4 truck. The owners should consider at least grading the gravel road to make the park accessible. Otherwise everything else was brilliant.
