- richj65Chicago, IL1 809 contributionsI like that you can walk inside most of the homes. I wish there were light in the rooms. I know that is not how they lived, but it would make walking through easier. The meal was a nice touch at the end.Written 27 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rashmi7 contributionsWe travelled from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam by Azam Marine ferry. When we got to the ferry terminal, there were plenty of porters offering their services. We simply said ‘services not needed’ and they didn’t bother us much.
There is a separate waiting lounge for VIP ticket holders. I noticed more confusion on the economy side as it was very crowded. There is a nice air-conditioned waiting lounge for VIP ticket passengers. They also offered some soft drinks and coffee while waiting there. The ferry took just about an hour and half to get to Dar es Salaam port. On board, we were offered light snack and juice.
I would recommend buying a VIP ticket if that fits your budget. You can do it online on their website and its very convenient. We booked online and got our tickets printed. My family enjoyed the ferry ride and our experience was satisfactory.Written 16 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide scared me to care for my belongings like mobile, camera and wallet. Actually it’s fish and vegetable market. People put their stuff on the street for selling. Mangos is small and hard but sweety. Different kinds of fish and seafood so buy or to eat. Friendly people when you are escorted by guide.Written 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

There was a lack of professionalism from the employees, but some interesting exhibits on display. More signs are needed to direct visitors.
