What travellers are saying
- jenck191 contributionGood times for the whole family from tiny tots to adolescent to grown ups that aren't so grown up. Good times for shopping queens and zip lining for the adventurer.Written 17 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

gaurds are great and friendly staffWritten 17 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - zak1 contributionexpensive, after paying R200 per person and full price for children 10 years and older you are told that no snacks are allowed (even water). Rides are poorly managed, tiles that can actually cut you in pools, rides not working and lacking water, staff look tired and very unfriendly, everything looks and feels cheap. You can tell it is run by Chinese. There not enough sitting areas, changing rooms can only take 3 people at a time. they mostly sell cheap chinese drinks and snacks or you walk really far for water and food. lines are extremely long for rides, poorly built and mapped out, water in pools smell of urine, plenty stairs you have to walk up for most rides, i honestly would not go again. rubble laying around that can seriously hurt anyone, pool waters that are so dirty can make one sick!Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SweetAzNZDarwin, Australia84 contributionsVery good value for money at this family friendly theme park. No lines, well maintained, friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyable experience. - LuckyPretoria, South Africa8 contributionsClean, fun and something for everyone. Take your own umbrella or gazebo and chairs. If your kids are taller than 1,2meters but doesn't want to do the big slides, ensure you get a wristband for the kiddies pools, otherwise they will not be allowed.Written 26 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stephen M17 contributionsIf you come in the winter you usually get a full day ticket for the price of half day. As adults you only really need a half day. Good facilities and new ques when we went. Recommend wearing a t-shirt or rash shirt if you visit in winter to keep warm between rides and on the lazy River.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DebbyJohannesburgShaka's Rock, South Africa321 contributionsGreat Fun….. out for the day with young children and great entertainment. Good supervision and well controlled. Has a bar area for the adults and the take away food was enjoyable.Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mitesh LXai-Xai, Mozambique9 contributionsWent out for a family day/picnic. Great spot for just relaxing or having braais. The kids love the water and slides. Great spot overallWritten 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gone TrekkingKrugersdorp, South Africa22 contributionsI went back and forth between 4 and 5. I think from my kids point-of-view this was a 5.
The pros for Splash Water World is quite a bit:
- Separate slides and pools for the small kids
- Next to main beach with an option to go in-and-out of the venue. This was a big plus.
- Braai facilities inside. I wish we new this before hand. Those braais smelt amazing.
- Restaurant directly above the pools. Not part of the facility but was awesome and very tasty.
- One or two larger slides for the adults.
The negs are really what you make of it. It could be completely dismissed or a big deal depending on you as a person. Let me just say that we will be back regardless of these:
- Don't expect large open areas like at newer parks. It is very compact and if you come late, you squeeze in somewhere.
- Definitely more for the kids than adults. Doesn't mean that you can't also enjoy it as an adult but kids rule!
I think this is worth a visit, especially if you have kids. Great way to break the beach day up without having to drive anywhere. :-)Written 9 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ErikMuldersdrift, South Africa4 contributionsGreat way to cool off at Marloth Park. Be sure to get in early as it can get busy. Nice graas lawn to have a lay down and with braai facilities it's ideal for a family outing. They also offer take aways. After cooling off you can enjoy a quick round of put-put. You can also bring your own cooler.Written 25 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Ockert MPretoria, South Africa853 contributionsThe well kept and beautiful area is begging one to enter. Palm trees lines the clean water and the waves or roaring lagoon, as it is called, are enticing. Beautiful human made tropical paradise with a wonderful water part to kep young and old entertained and to unwind.
As the website boosts: """There’s something for everyone at the Valley of Waves. Kids can get their kicks in the designated children’s area while adventure-seekers can take their pick of mild to wild rides. Facilities are clean and spacious. A good alternative on cold or windy daysWritten 4 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MartinPcoleJohannesburg, South Africa26 contributionsThe pools are nice. Big. Heated pool. However, during the day, 9am~3pm it is packed. After 3 pm they kick out the non-resistance and you can enjoy the pools more. Great for the kids.Written 29 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Theo WPretoria, South Africa43 contributionsWe visited cedar for a kiddies birthday party, initially sceptical when we heard the cost for the entry. We paid R100 per adult entry but definitely worth it, will visit again, all rides included in entry fee. Clean place.Written 23 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
