Absolutely incredible. We saw so much active sea life and nurse sharks. Great snorkeling in a beautiful setting. Definitely a must do.

Amazing experience to swim with these gentle sharks. The swimming with the sharks itself is very short lived. The sharks have come to know the sound of the boats engines. When the boats arrive they know that they will be fed. Once the engine is turned off the sharks will head on to the next boat. However, the reef where the sharks and rays are hold a wonderful habit filled with other beautiful sea creatures. Make sure you have a great guide that will take you around and show you other points of interest at the alley.

Secret Beach is about 35 minutes north/west of San Pedro. A handful of restaurants are there on the bay side, with great access to the water. Lots of seating on the beach and in the water. Very touristy, prices reflect that. I gave 4 stars because we were constantly approached by local vendors selling hair braiding, bracelets, carvings, ceramics, etc.

Nice variety of Belizean artists paintings, as well other art pieces. It is a little hidden off the beachfront road so keep your eye out for the outdoor sign.

After doing Shark and Ray Alley and Hol Chan Reserve in the morning we figured we'd really tire ourselves out in the afternoon at Mexico Rocks. Our guide Juliouz from Ambergris Divers was outstanding. This ended up being our favorite snorkel of the day. No boat traffic at all. It was basically the four of us from our boat, two guides, Barry the Barracuda, and thousands of amazing fish. We did do different snorkels on this trip. One is called the Aquarium and with good reason. We saw the most massive lobster and super amazing green eel. Words can't explain the beauty. Shark and Ray Alley was cool, Hol Chan was super busy, and Mexico Rocks was the place that didn't seem as popular but was so much better than the others.

This is a lovely gallery to visit. So many unique and unusual things to see. Very tempting to spend lots of $$$ here. Quality is excellent. Owners are very friendly and welcoming.

The gentleman working in the Cultural Center was a wealth of knowledge about the island of Ambergris Caye and the Mayan people. This is a very worthwhile visit if you are interested in history of the Mayan people. There aren’t many, but some very interesting artifacts found on the island.

We met the lady who runs this site. It's rustic and not all closed up as many sites of this type are. We were sad not to have been able to see this interesting site.

I have known Melody for several years and won't detail how fun she is here; don't take my biased word for it but I'm sure you will agree if you meet her :) :) :) Melody's staff are amazing and that's what I'll talk about here because I met them for the first time on my recent visit. There are two locations - a gallery toward the middle/south end of "Front" street, and a studio toward the north end of "Front" street right across from Sunbreeze Suites. I ordered a painting and requested pickup; it was ready for me and the transaction was fast and easy. Toward the end of my trip, I remembered that I had promised to bring back some bookmarks for a friend so I ordered them via Facebook Messenger from Melody's staff, paid via PayPal, and they had a staff member run them up the street from the gallery to the studio so I didn't even have to walk down the block when I was short on time. Everyone on the island is doing an exceptional job of being careful about COVID-19, and Melody's staff is no exception. Masks, sanitizer, and social distancing are all in play in the gallery and the studio, and they even have handmade masks and mask-tethers that you can buy to look fashionable while you stay safe. Please know that I am telling the unvarnished truth even though I know the owner: this place will give you some gorgeous items to bring home from La Isla Bonita for all your friends and family. And best of all, you will be supporting local Belizean artists and their families when you purchase items from this company.

Dance with the drums and eat all of the food! Miss Julia is the most perfect host! I did not know that tamales could be made with plantain! Delicious...

We traveled from Chetumal to SAN Pedro. It is the best means of transport to get to SAN Pedro and far cheaper than flying. The boat was over crowded and we sat on the floor of the boat. Beverages were handed around to guests. It’s not like a boat trip id experience here in Australia but it was quite an experience. Different country, different expectations. Another example... A few days prior to the boat trip in Mexico we booked a first class bus ticket from Cancun to Chetumal. When we got on the bus it was busy, hard to find a seat and had no air conditioning- very different to the first class we were familiar with back home. At the end of the day, it is all about the experience and your visit to SAN Pedro will be well worth the dodgy boat trip over.

We walked by the place at night and it was locked up like Fort Knox with metal hurricane shutters, so I guess I was expecting something more. Some tropical wear, limited selection of mens, women's (geared to the 20's crowd), children's clothing and small kitchen appliances. Some Aeropostale t-shirts from several seasons ago. Did not shop upstairs. Worth a stop if you forgot something at home, but I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here.

My sister and I had a great time diving with Scuba School. We are already certified and did a few days of 2 tank dives and the Great Blue Hole (which is booked through another company). If you're wanting to do that one, there are only 2 dive shops on the island that do it, due to how far away it is. MJ and Abdy were fun and friendly, yet safety conscious and instructional. I've been diving almost 90 times already and diving with them was one of the most fun dive trips I've been on. Tacklebox and Shark Ray Alley were fav's since we saw so many sharks. They're located near the middle of town so pretty much walking distance from either end, and close to restaurants to eat at before and after dives.

We had a wonderful food tour with Belize Food Tours! It was great to eat the local food and get a great sense of the city! They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Highly recommend!!
