The ranger at the Center in Calabasas was helpful and sent us up to a three mile hike at Malabu Creek State Park (about a 3 mile drive from National Park's Visitor Center) which was perfect.
There are well over 50 miles of trails just in this one section of the park, including several trails leading from 80' to the top of Boney Ridge, the highest spot in this range 3110'.
