It is a fantastic site that includes nine of the original sandstone buildings all filled with artifacts from the time period when the fort was in use.
Awesome National Landmark!! Recommend this to anyone.
It does involve climbing 297 steps to the very top of the dome, where there is a balcony the runs all the way around the top, with great views of the surrounding city and countryside.
Family fun getting to climb all of the steps inside the Kansas State Capitol Building, inside the dome, to the top and getting to walk outside and seeing Topeka from such a high point/view.
Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site offers an excellent educational experience for people of all ages!
