I had never seen this architecture and materials. The altar of the church was really beautiful. In one part of the church, the right hand of St. Stephen, which was cut off in the war, was displayed, which was interesting.Written 30 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - davide79_12Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK2 066 contributionsExcellent from start to finish. We loved the Castle and Royal Palace. It was absolutely fascinating. All the different areas linking into one. We loved exploring the depths of the castle and its hidden chambers. Especially the chapel. That was a sight to see and quite emotional. Definitely worth a visit. The Royal Palace is at the beginning of major demolition, restoration and preservation for the future. It is slightly worse for wear and shows signs of tiredness. The next decade will transform the Budacastle district of Buda. I cannot wait to see this in our future visits to Budapest. Recommend.Written 28 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BLANCA Stexas162 contributionsLots of shops to buy meats, spices and the like. Upstairs, there's an escalator, are souvenir stands with slightly better prices than in city center. Also, shops with food to sit and eat. Most of the stands sell the same items. Some shopkeepers also accepted euro currency.Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Charlotte ISt Agnes, UK131 contributionsThe outside is stunning, the inside is incredible. Unlike any church I've visited. Such unusual decorative stonework.

- Paula PThousand Oaks, CA130 contributionsa deep sense of history, the first permanent bridge to span the Danube River, connecting Buda & PestI will never forget this experience! This iconic landmark truly captures the essence of the city, with stunning views. When we walked across the bridge, we felt a deep sense of history, as it was the first permanent bridge to span the Danube River, connecting the two sides of the city. The architecture is simply breathtaking, it has these majestic stone lions guarding each end and the beautiful suspension cables stretching high above.
The bridge provides a fantastic vantage point for taking in panoramic views of Budapest’s skyline, including the Buda Castle and the grand Parliament building. It's an especially magical sight at night when the bridge is beautifully illuminated, casting a golden glow across the river. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a photography lover, or just someone who enjoys breathtaking views, the Széchenyi Lánchíd is an absolute must-visit.
