I'm always a bit hesitant about aquariums and zoos, but the tanks at the Aquarium of Genoa are generally impressively large (although I felt some were too overcrowded) and well-maintained. They also have an impressive selection of animals, and it is therefore great for educational purposes. However, I felt several of the information boards at tanks were very outdated (the species in the tanks were different than those shown) and we actually spotted a couple of outright mistakes where the name of the fish did not correspond to the picture.

An absolute must to see caves (grote) with interesting story and role in history of WWII. Easy to drive there and wonderful sights, both from the ground and from the top. Recommend!

NIce sculptures and nice guide who also translates in English. The tour takes 40 minutes which is just enough. ………………..

We have visited Sanremo many times over the years, but this is the first time we made time to pay a visit to Villa Nobel. We are so glad that we did as it was an extremely interesting and informative visit.

The friendly receptionist gave us an introduction to our visit in impeccable English. Current charges are €7 for adults and €5 for over 65s and children. Audio guides were withdrawn due to Covid and have not been reintroduced. However, all information is now displayed in English as well as in Italian.

The ground floor is notable for the superb decorated ceiling in the principle room. The basement museum does a very good job of placing Alfred Nobel’s work in the context of the countless technological developments of the 19th century.

The upper two floors contain much original furniture and furnishings from Nobel’s time as well as a comprehensive display of information on his work with dynamite and the resulting triumphs and tragedies, together with an insight into his personal and family life. There is also a section devoted to Nobel’s will and the bequest which led to the establishment of the Nobel Prizes.

Lastly, the gardens afford good views of the exterior of the splendid villa.

Nice looking and tropical set up. Very small and strange you have to pay to go in somewhere that is a bit of greenery. Would take 2 minutes or less to view

Finally a nice place where you can take your children without worrying about parking! Staff very polite and kind, there is an area where you can leave coats and shoes and an area with tables where you can eat your own food or order from the bar (which also make pizza), cute sofas for parents while kids play.
There is an area just for kids under 3 year olds and the main one for all ages! Wish I was still a child so I could go! They also have a babysitting choice for those parents who maybe need a little break!
The only thing though is that you pay 5€ for just 1 hour and I think it's a bit too much but I recommend it to all parents!
