What travellers are saying
- Abc_and_me11 contributionsStunning beach! Quiet, with calm and still water that's different shades of turqouise, and clear all the way down to the bottom!Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Villa SaralenaLas Terrenas, Dominican Republic17 contributionsHad a lot of fun along this beach with family. Found a quiet spot to hang some hammocks from. Mangroves and tidal pools had a good variety of tropical fish and hermit crabs to keep kids busy for hours. Beautiful calm waterWritten 10 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Christina GBoston, MA18 contributionsThis beach has it all: plenty of space, a beautiful beach with trees to keep you from getting too warm/sunburnt, and several fun bar/resaurants.Written 9 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Janet W89 contributionsThere are many great beaches in Las Terranas, but this is a truly wonderful one. This is mainly because a river winds its way through palm trees to the sea, and the landscape is absolutely stunning. A photographer’s dream.
There are a couple of good tavernas on the beach.
The sea can be rough here, and there’s a bit of an undertow, so it might not be good for little children. But if you just jump around in the shallows, it’s absolutely fine.Written 12 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Michal SJohns Creek, GA6 contributionsBest beach ⛱ I have ever seen! Feels truly like a heaven on earth. Anyone who is staying around here must visit this place.Written 28 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LaurenOlivoPunta Cana, Dominican Republic91 contributionsIt is near by the Albachiara Hotel and there are plenty of bars and restaurants facing this beach. I do not recommend Las Terrenas Beach, but this one is beautiful! Make sure to carry your repellent and drinking water because you can find mosquitoes in the whole town 🦟 and the bottled water is very expensive in Las Terrenas (the regular price is RD$15 or RD$20 for 16oz but in Las Terrenas you will find it at RD$50 and RD$60) if you guys get thirsty you will have to buy several bottles cause one wont be enough for more than one person. If coming with children maybe you could bring mosquito nest for the crib, just in case. (I didn’t have to use mine but you never know)Written 16 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- edhimalAntwerp298 contributionsGood road surface. Not so much traffic. Breathtaking views as you drive in the direction of Nagua. The mirador just before Las Terrenas smells bad.Written 4 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Laura Ocean N7 contributionsThere is an area for surfing if the waves cooperate but I mostly enjoy the nice walking path all along this pretty beach and all the beachside restaurants and bars.Written 23 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Villa SaralenaLas Terrenas, Dominican Republic17 contributionsSmall connected restaurant along the water. Beautiful atmosphere and a great variety of cuisine to choose from. Anyone can find something they like here. Prices tend to be very reasonable.Written 10 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Karen’sTravelTipsWeehawken, NJ25 contributionsWe were on a trip to the DR to help build a community center. This was the beach outside our resort. After a hard days work, or early in the morning, it's a great place to learn to surf, do yoga on the beach or just play.Written 27 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ronalds872Denver5 contributionsHonestly I've never taken a 'lesson' from Noeli, but have danced with her a number of times when I've spent extended time in the town where she lives, Las Terrenas. Noeli is an amazing dancer and has a super pleasant personality to go with that. I have recommended her to many friends who ask from whom should they take lessons when in Las Terrenas. I am happy to see she is developing her business there. - Peregrination_LoverHarleysville, PA126 contributionsThis small little plaza actually houses a library!!! It is on the second floor just under the pharmacy. The people in the pharmacy are very helpful and speak english, so if you need anything this is your place. Clothing, jewlery and pizza can also be found here. You also have a place you can book 4wheeler tours, boat trips and even zip line fun. there is a great little French owned restaurant just on the corner that serves wonder 3 course meals for a set price. It was SIMPLE. but GREAT! The jewlery shop has a sister shop a few blocks away that is a higher artistic level than the shop in this mall, but this shop here is still very nice.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Regina SLunenburg, MA27 contributionswe walked for hours around the beaches and they are just beautiful. There are no chairs at all, and if you happen to find one, they will charge you to seat there.Written 15 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
