Healesville Sanctuary Healesville
A great zoo - excellent atmosphere, great for all ages, and the birds in flight (spirits of the sky) show is awesome.
My favourite would still be Melbourne Zoo especially if you were only in Melbourne for a short time but if you have plenty of time, visit the sanctuary and combine it with other attractions in the area.

You can get up closer to the animals (especially the lions) than at other zoos, and there are friendly roaming deer, birds and kangaroos to feed.
Hats off the owners and staff of this country zoo you can see so much love goes into the animals and easy to see your entrance money going straight into the care of the animals.
