Interesting architectural building nestled by the river, featuring an exciting maze of large gallery halls and smaller installation spaces, a good cafe, and easy access to the adjoining galleries, museums, parking...
One of the best modern art museums I've been to

We spent around 1.5 hours here and you could easily combine it with a visit to another museums or gallery in the area and is only a short walk to the Myer Center in Central Brisbane.
Museums and art galleries, theatre for ballet, stage plays.

While we also loved our visit to the Museum (QM), the Science Centre was perfect for their ages, and all ages, from young to old.
Interactive science museum, great for the kids and big kids alike.

They also got an Indigenous section on the upper level Entry is free and is conveniently located at Southbank near the other museums and theatres
I've been to many different museums & galleries around the world & the Queensland museum is definitely one of the best.

My husband loves to visit Maritime Museums and me less so, but the nature of this wonderful facility allows for those, like me, to enjoy the many visual, hands on displays that are available to see there.
One the best museums ever dont miss it!

One of the most incredible mineral museums I have ever seen, with the most beautiful opals I have ever seen (even being a collector and geologist).
I cannot speak too highly of his expertise and pleasant friendliness (and of the enthusiasm of his store and museum assistant, Suzie) Thanks Geoff, and thanks Suzie also for your helpfulness and delight in your work.

The former general's perfectly preserved headquarter's office is just a small part of this superb museum which reaches beyond Brisbane to the Pacific Theatre and puts everything in context.
This museum is in MacArthur Chambers in the centre of the city and is a little known treasure commemorating General MacArthur's WW2 time in Brisbane.
