Drive up the hill to the top of the road and park up, it's the best spot to stand and watch some fantastic surfers do their thing.
If you're an ocean-loving-wave-hunting-wind-inspired appreciator of Mother Nature in all her majesty, then Surfer's Point is a must for any visitor to the South West.

It is approx 3.2 km each way if you are doing it as a return to the car park - approx 1.5 hrs with plenty of photo stops along the way at a gentle pace.
Amazing what nature gives us right on our doorstep!
Ngilgi Cave Yallingup
#8 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
It was amazing to be able to walk around and see nature at its best and soak in the history of this well preserved cave.
We did not really know that this cave existed, only that it was walking distance from our caravan park.

Hamelin Bay Margaret River
#9 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
Our local expert suggested if we liked nature and wildlife encounters to take the side road to Hamelin Bay and we might see the Stingrays.
A couple of big ones just cruising the shallows right in front of the main entrance from the car park.

Giants Cave Forest Grove
#12 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
We found out Giants cave is owned and operated by the national park and it was so much more fun!!
You come out through a small hole in the rocks on the forest floor after about 45-60 minutes, and it is then a 5-10 minute walk back to the office and car park.
Gnarabup Beach Margaret River
#13 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
Breathtakingly beautiful views from the headland toward the southern Indian ocean were our reward for a short stroll from the car park next to the White Elephant cafe just on sunset.

I'd recommend a visit to the Eagle Heritage centre if you are into bird watching, nature or want something fun and educational for the kids.
While the park is very spread out it was a lovely walk and the enclosures for the birds are large and very well done with natural branches.
Injidup Beach Yallingup
#17 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
Or park at the end of the asphalt in a large car park and walk to the dunes and the point which is the southern end of the beach or simply climb down the stairs to the beach from this car park and watch the surfers.
Once you park, just follow the foot paths and you'll find the rock pools and amazing lookout points.

Calgardup Cave Margaret River
#25 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
Calgardup cave is governed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife and only offers self guided tours, which was a deciding factor for us to visit this cave.
Run by the dept of parks and wildlife, Calgardup and giants cave are two of the better ones in the MR area.
#26 of 41 Nature & Parks in Margaret River Region
Must Do's are as well: Sugarloaf Rock, Canal Rocks, Nature Spa near Wyadup, Lake Cave and Hamelin Bay.
Plenty of roads through and nature trails for walking, even better that you drive through the Park to access other scenic hotspots.

This was my experience when I discovered Brendan Booth's sculpture park which is located in an extraordinary bush land setting between Augusta and Hamelin Bay.
