I highly recommend Wasabi tours, I did the waterfalls tour. I loved that it was a small group and our guide, Dreu was so much fun, he had a lot to say about waterfalls, volcanoes, island history and much more. It was an excellent day with lots of great memories to take away.

This private tour is highly recommended! Since the Kilauea volcano was active while we were there - the tour guide "Rebecca" contacted us the day before - to see if we wanted to get started later so that we could see the volcano at night. It was a wonderful suggestion! Rebecca picked us up from our hotel and immediately gave the kids a microphone so that they could do some karaoke as we got underway. They loved it! Rebecca was fully accommodating of our two boys and what they wanted to do and what would be fun for them. During the drive she played a podcast with some island history and with some island stories. There were a few things we couldn't squeeze in - there was so much to do! - but she provided us with details and even a contact so that we could return to see what we missed (which we did). Rather than to shuffle on and off of a tour bus - a private tour by way of a private car is the way to go. Highly recommended way to see the Big Island!

Our family - 2 kids and 2 teens - had an amazing day with David! He was so knowledgeable and knew the park so well. We are an active family and were able to do a ton of walks/short hikes. The park is simply unbelievable and David really connected us with the history and geology. We felt like we saw so much. Very well taken care of - great lunch, plenty of drinks and snacks. We had a warm, sunny day but there were jackets, etc. in case. Couldn’t recommend more.

Awesome private tour. Got to experience the ancient grounds of Kamehameha, waterfalls of all kinds, black sand beaches, and appreciate the overall beauty of the Big Island. Even though going into Waipio Valley isn’t allowed anymore to tourists we were able to get photos at the overlook. We also stopped at a farmers market in Hilo where I bought a shell lei and some fresh fruit for the hotel room. Stopped for a malasada as well.

Such a great experience. We were going to get a taxi to go to the airport to get a rental and then met Derrick and it was ideal for our family. We loved his flexibility with our family enjoying the beach and the ocean. Loved his insight and knowledge of the island as we drove through the beautiful area to Hapuna beach. Would definitely recommend this company especially for a day outing!

We used Derick for two tours while in Kona. We arrived by cruise ship and had 2 days in Kona. His prices were very reasonable.

For our first day we booked Ohana Private Car when we booked a private 5 hours tour of Kona with Viator for 8 people. Derick had great communication with us, arrived right on time and texted his location. His 8 passenger van is brand new and very comfortable. There is an automatic side step on the van for those that need assistance when getting in and out of the van. A/C worked well in the van and was wonderful for those of us sitting in the back. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to some great locations to for beautiful scenery and took great photos of us as well. He didn't have a microphone yet, but could speak loud enough for us to hear at the back. We went to Lekeleke Burial Grounds, Painted Church, Kona Coffee Farm and showed up the equipment and explained the process and stopped at a outdoor market where we had lunch and shopped a bit.

Our second tour we booked directly with Derick. We Booked the Volcano Private Excursion, 9 hours. This time our group was 7 people. We saw more of the area and stopped at Punalu'u Bake Shop - absolutely delicious treats and great gift store. We stopped at Whittington Beach Park, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, saw Hawaiin Green Turtles, and went to the top of a volcano for viewing. We went through a Lava Tube which was really cool. We stopped at Lave Rock Cafe for a quick lunch and were on our way. Over the 9 hours we covered alot of different views and it was nice to see a good chuck of the island.

Absolutely book with Derick at Ohana Private Car. He had a cooler of cold water for us in the van.
