What travellers are saying
- Gillian BNewcastle upon Tyne, UK14 contributionsJust wanted to say a special thank you to KNE for their kindness during our visit. Myself and some colleagues brought a small group of students for an adult session on a school trip, and each of them were very excited. However, two of the students who attended were under the age of 14 and we hadn't realised when we booked that they needed to be 14+ to take part in the adult sessions. We worried this meant they would miss out and after a journey from South East Northumberland, this would have been very disappointing.
However, the team at KNE went above and beyond. They explained to us that their races would be on the hour every hour, giving them enough time to move from one race to the next. As that would have meant the students under 14 would have to wait around for their turn, they very kindly told us they would squeeze an extra race in just for them at half past the hour, which I appreciate may have made their day a little bit more of a rush as they tried to fit everything in.
I was very touched by this warm and kind gesture. Our school is an SEMH setting and our students have challenging mental health needs, and something as simple as plans changing unexpectedly can often be a trigger for periods of dysregulation. The staff altering their day and making alternative arrangements to make sure they all had an enjoyable experience meant so much to them, and to myself and my colleagues who were with them.
Thank you so much to the team for making this day so special. They had an amazing time!Written 20 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jo1 contributionVery clean and some friendly staff. Food is good.
Slots are unfortunately switched off at certain times at management's discretion, leaving customers paying in and receiving no bonuses that they would have been due.
Lovely cocktails available.
They also have a free roulette feature now and again that you can access via the computer roulette table.Written 30 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stuart NNewcastle upon Tyne, UK1 728 contributionsMy daughter is going skiing in France so we got some sessions here for her and some friends. We got the 9am slot which was perfect as it’s heaving by 10am. The instructor was excellent and the nursery slope is ideal for first timers. There is also a much bigger slope for more advanced skiers.Written 9 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Morgan J1 contributionWent Tuesday about half 4 until 6. Was 9 quid for 2 for so not too bad. Went with my 2 year old and 4 year old. Wasn't that busy so they had plenty to do and enjoyed it. Full size bouncy castle was good, 4 wee trampolines too. Feels safe as only 1 exit and entry. Seemed clean and staff were friendly. Would benefit from a little decoration, but nothing major. Had a soft drink and Dad had a coffee, coffee was basic but was only £1.40 or something with a can of Diet Coke £1.20? Wouldn't hesitate to go back... especially if sun not shining, don't think it's stopped raining today!Written 6 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mal pCwmbran, UK18 contributionsI am a regular visitor to Sunderland last weekend I was staying next to the aquatic centre so decided to take advantage of our location by using the pool , On Friday teatime I paid nearly £12 for myself , Wife and Grandson only to find half the Pool closed and most of the other half taken up by swimming lessons the little bit left was packed and impossible to swim in , On the Saturday I returned with my grandson to use the inflatables only to be told whilst entering the pool that we needed to pay extra at reception to use the inflatables , No once was any information given to us at reception about the aforementioned things once in the pool the Staff were over zealous about children playing to be honest they were whistle happy The Reception staff quite clearly cound'nt be bothered to be helpful maybe they had had enough of the school holidays but they certainly need training to help the public my accent and lack of knowledge of the facilities should have prompted them to give me a quick run down of what I needed to do …...Written 20 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
