If you want to enjoy a light sea breeze, you should ask for sunbeds up to and including row 12. It should also be taken into account that in the very first row near the water's edge people are constantly scurrying about, if this does not bother, then no problem. The sea is calm and gentle more in the morning.
At the beach there is a cafe with a terrace on the roof. There you can eat breakfast, who needs it, take a cup of coffee and snack during the day, and enjoy a cocktail on the terrace in the late evening. I recommend.Written 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - alanmsqGreat Bowden, UK405 contributionsWe have used La Playa Beach Village all this week while staying at the Luxor Beach hotel, having prebooked the hotel's 'beach package'. The facilities are excellent, with two pristine swimming pools, lots of play equipment for children, table tennis, boules etc. Allocated sunbeds and umbrellas were ours for the duration of our stay. Everything is spotlessly clean - the paths are swept and the sand raked each morning in preparation for the day. There's even free wifi on the beach if you need to stay connected. The beach itself is fine sand sloping down to clear water. Pedaloes and other boats are available for hire and a sailing boat offered trips from the beach. An ice cream and drinks seller regularly toured the beach with his cart. The only slight negative was the number of hawkers selling everything from umbrellas to massages - but ignoring them or a polite no thanks does the trick. Anyone who thinks the Italian way of organising a beach is rather regimented (as I once did), might be surprised to find it's actually a very civilised way to holiday. Bravo La Playa Beach!Written 11 September 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Frank Geisler 🇨🇭Zurich, Switzerland13 258 contributionsAs part of my bicycle tour across Cattolica and Gabicce Mare I passed this nice round "square" with the fountain of sirenes, also called "Mermaid Fountain". On the outside are water spouting turtles. The fountain, that includes three curvaceous mermaids or “sirene” sensually enveloped in cloths, was created in 1928 by the sculptor from Forli, Giuseppe Casalini who used his nineteen-year-old daughter Francesca as a model.Written 20 July 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Both places are fun to go to, so don't hesitate for a nice day or evening out. for a small fee they transport you to the opposite coast.
