What travellers are saying
- leader t4 contributionsThe staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We stayed here for two full days as a family of four (two parents and two children, ages 9 and 11). For our kids, there were no forbidden slides.Written 6 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alessandro FMilan, Italy26 346 contributionsVery nice this Shrine that divided the two coast of the city in west coast toward Venice (ponente) and east coast toward Trieste (levante).
It was built in 1751 on the remains of a little chapel of the 6th century.
Initially the church was named to Saint Michael the Archangel.
According to the legend, some fishermen found a wooden statue of the Madonna with Child floating in the sea. The statue was deposed in the Cathedral from which disappeared the following day and was unexpectedly found again in this church by the sea which gave it its name, the Shrine of Our Lady of the Angel.Written 9 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It offers a unique flora (not only orchids, but also the Venetian glasswort, the Caspian lemon tree and the feathery fairy linen, truly unique plants); a multitude of migratory and sedentary birds have been recorded here (over 280 species including the duck, the bittern, the red heron, the common coot, the small grebe and the mallard ducks) and a wide variety of fish choose to reproduce here. Even foxes have been spotted around!Written 9 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alessandro FMilan, Italy26 346 contributionsThe parish church was built in 1038 in a typical Roman Style, beautiful the round bell tower just in front the facade.
The very simple facade is embellished by two bas-reliefs carried here from the Fourth Crusade of 1204.
Internal with three naves in a mixed style of Romanic and Bizantine-Ravennate
Some interesting frescoes can be seen on the walls together with a beautiful paint of Last Supper made by Gregorio Lazzarini in the 17th centuryWritten 6 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James WStoke on Trent25 contributionsMorning coffee, lunch or after dinner drinks, the street scene is busy. The staff have always been cheerful and helpful. The ice cream is not bad either :-)Written 18 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CharlotteKolding, Denmark393 contributionsWe visited on a sunny October day where all the locals was wearing big jackets and lots of clothes. For us from Scandinavia it was warm and nice so we had shorts and t-shirt on and enjoyed laying in the sun. We more or less had the beach to ourselves. ;-) There were lots of people walking along the ocean as you can make a nice walk past the famous little church at the end. We also enjoyed a lot of monoplanes which passed by and did lots of tricks.Written 7 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alessandro FMilan, Italy26 346 contributionsPerfect location for family and retired person, large beaches with soft sand , sea very quiet and very low level of waterWritten 7 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Agnieszka ZdunekPoznan, Poland5 contributionsI like this kind of beaches the best - a little like a wild beach, in the forest, without sunbeds or umbrellas (you can take own, of course), except weekends not too crowded, especially futher from the entrances. People can take a dog there. There are two towers of the rescuer close to entrances. There is a big parking about 200 meters from the beach (you have to pay 5 euro in the morning and 3 euro after 14.00) with WC and showers. There are also places for camper vans, but I don't remember prices. There is a place where you can buy something to eat and drink near the parking.Written 11 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
