Mums and calf’s..was a bit of hair raising experience taking us nearly 30 mins to pass through due to us being so apprehensive ..the bearded lake was pretty and was glad we seen it aswell and the King Arthur stone. Luckily going back the farmer helped us through the field on his quad. Some of the most beautiful views quite steep in placesWritten 6 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Liz CTywyn, UK35 contributionsBeing able to find just the right card for someone is important to me, so looking round this wonderful gallery full of paintings, jewellery and sculptures I didn't think I would find a card for a special couple who are moving to this area, but I did and was both surprised and very happy to make a purchase, even more so when I found out that the lady who was at the till was the artist who created such a gorgeous item.Written 1 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tony TAtherstone, UK8 contributionsMy son in law bought me a round of golf at Aberdovey and after driving past for many years we finally played the round on Sunday. I was optimistic it would be good but it exceeded any expectations by far. The course was immaculate, the greens were so true and consistent, and the conditions to die for. Having waited so long to play I'm sure we will not wait too long to be back and play again, without doubt one of the top courses I've ever played on!!Written 30 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cherriesfan99Cheltenham, UK849 contributionsAnother Aberdyfi misnomer, as this attractive coastal path was created in 1809 to allow horse traffic to Machynlleth. Cut from the local slate - soft sheet rock, the path is for the most part just inches from the waters. This section is a tidal estuary, and has abundant wildlife, not only from the sea, but also from the woodlands that back the path.
We were just sitting on the rocks for over an hour taking in the amazing views, and tranquillity of the path, with only one other person passing us in that time.
One of the lovely features of this path is that there are no houses, and in fact the only man made infrastructure visible was a few short metal walkway over the small streams that join the river Dovey. It is a lovely walk, and possible for a short walk with a childs buggy.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But one that is worth a (very short) stroll on its wooden decking. Apparently there is a bell that rings when to tide changes ( there is a very high tidal range here. adjacent to the pier is the RNLI , and the Yacht club.
A visit to Aberdyfi would not be complete without a wander around.Written 20 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This TIC shows how much there is to see, and do as well as activities available. And transport links as well.Written 21 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
