- Jason SMelbourne, Australia2 180 contributionsNice information centre next to wharf, wry helpful in planning some of my trips while in Bergen.
Great space to relax away from the cold and plan your holiday.
Wouldn’t say Bergen Pass is a must, doesn’t save you lots of money, but it is convenient.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It can get really busy but there is everything there that you can need. There are also toilets and a gift shop.Written 2 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Matt C14 contributionsGreat place to come if you're interested in the Vikings (and who isn't?). There's a great film to watch, interactive displays, and info about life in Viking times. There's also a little shop, and who would not love a little shop?Written 27 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tony M2 contributionsWonderful welcome from volunteers. Especial thanks to Mona for being so knowledgeable, and telling us about the round the island tour. I think it was the first one this season. The driver was so helpful. Also the man in the office was also brilliant in advising us places to go.Written 27 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo KWorcester, UK8 912 contributionsRight next to the cruise ship and well organised to sort your daytime activities out.
You can also buy tickets for the land train 🚂 and bus quayside direct if peak time.
Skylift you can get tickets too. Good idea as see what the weather is like for that activityWritten 9 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A month before I contacted to enquire about walks, maps & things to do
Received so much, via email, walks, things to do including swimming in the pool. We called by whilst on our ship Arcadia, did the short walk I will include photos, steep walk, tricky path ( need good boots & ideally walking sticks), then returned for coffee & cake and a swim
All you need to do is go to the cafe, enquire and pay a reasonable fee to swim, you are taken to the pool, there are no chemicals so a swimmer is required to shower & take your own towel, temperature was perfect, a fantastic experience, swimming in the pool on my own with a view of the Fjord
Thankyou Anne Merethe and everyone in the T Information
Note the cruise offered ‘Walk with Llamas £76 pp 24 passengers paid but there were only 17 llamas!! But at the T Info. £9.00 pp I kid you not
There are 2 waterfalls to view walking distance
From the ship, flat, safe walking takes 20 minutes
I wonderful port to start your Norway visit

- Taymor YasirBergen, Norway208 contributionsAn opera begins long before the curtain goes up and ends long after it has come down. It starts in my imagination, it becomes my life, and it stays part of my life long after I've left the opera house.Written 5 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan6 contributionsOvercrowded place brimming with cruise passengers with a full car park. Overpriced souvenir shops and a small railway museum. Pretty and compact, but a tourist trap nonetheless.Written 28 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VadimMurmansk, Russia34 571 contributionsThe tourist office of Aalesund is located in a very right place. On a small square on the shore of the harbor, which offers beautiful views of the houses of the Jugendstil on the opposite shore. There is also a bus stop to the airport. There is Wi-Fi. Friendly staff will tell you how to get to Geiranger Fjord (I didn't have half a day for this). In general, a good IPO in a good place.Written 23 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA17 530 contributionsYou will find this building on the central square of the old town. It is fairly modern and houses the library and cultural center. It was buzzing with activity and assisted by a popular outdoor cafe. A community resource.Written 11 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sid NBeverley, UK507 contributionsWe stayed in the Kviknes Hotel, that was our base for our 8 day tour with Newmarket Holidays (Norway in a nutshell). Our experience was first class with visits to Bergen via the ferry on the Sognefjord, Flam railway and cruise. We tried a rib boat trip on the Sognefjord. Visited the a couple of Stave churches, a glacier, folk museum, and much more. Made new friends on the tour enjoying the hospitality that Norway had to offer.Written 21 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - avipitiHod Hasharon, Israel3 914 contributionsWe had a free entrance from Icetroll. The museum is quite small, but it tells an interesting story of the glacier, its wildlife, and the people living in the area. Probably wouldn't pay for it...Written 26 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
