- Alan P4 contributionsThis is a full day tour involving a 90 minute bus ride each way. First stop is an old town which is cute, but not much to see there other than tourist stores and ice cream shops. Then boarded a boat for a 90 minute boat ride up the Danube. Beautiful scenery and a nice way to spend the day if the weather is nice. But there is only a few seats outside that are shaded, so hard to be on the deck on a hot sunny day. The other two decks are basically enclosed restaurants with service. You can see well through the windows and the air conditioning is good, but would be better if there were more shaded areas with an outside breeze. After the boat ride is the town of Melk, a beautiful old town with an abbey well worth the trip. A leisurely day with very generous wine tasting (+/- 10 different wines!) Lunch in Durnstein was relaxed, sociable and well organised. We cycled about 25km in all. - Nancy H1 contributionThis is my third time in the mine and, as always, the visit was fun. The uniforms, the slides, and the ride on the lake are always delightful. My only concern was that while the English speaking group received a short message about each area, the guide, in German went on with many more details for a much longer period of time. As we could partially understand what he was saying, it would have been nice if he had translated the whole speech into English as well. Marin was amazing giving us valuable information about the country as we made our way to the Dolomites. We were so happy we chose this tour and this company. Took us to the best spots at the locations for amazing pictures! We did go all the way up and well worth the view! Our 4 kids (ages 15-24) enjoyed his tour and scenery as well! - Duke I3 contributionsOur tour guide, Carlos, was truly one of the most friendly tour guides. He had a very funny sense of humor, and we had a great time. It didn’t feel like we were overwhelmed with loads of information, but instead we learned the important facts that stuck with our whole group.
The tour itself is amazing and we saw some incredible views. Having a tour guide like Carlos made the experience that much better.
