Nice water park. Lots of variety. We all had fun. They have many lockers which are easy to use to put your belongings. There are many places to buy food and drink. Overall, a good time. Worth a visit.

Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is a must-visit for history and archaeology enthusiasts. It offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient Cyprus, with beautifully preserved mosaics, Roman villas and remnants of ancient theatres and temples. The intricate mosaics, like those in the House of Dionysus, are amazing and tell captivating Greek mythology stories.

We had a hire car for part of our stay in Paphos and took the opportunity to visit the Tombs of the Kings. There is a bus route nearby.
The entrance fee of 2.50 euros is waived if you are over 65.
We allowed 3 hours for the visit - enough for us on a hot sunny day to see the main tombs, some of which are accessible to reasonably agile visitors to view underground chambers. I made the effort for a few and it was worth-while.
This is an important archeological site and a very interesting visit.

Zoo itself is ok, for me some of the enclosures were to small for the animals. The food was over priced for the amount given. The Bird show was brilliant, Becky was rhe main host and her knowledge of birds seemed vast. It was very interesting.

It’s a nice enough mall plus cinema, but don’t expect different brands - almost all the shops and indeed the food outlets would equally be found in any British shopping mall.
The major exception is the Jumbo shop at the far end - a labyrinth of a shop which best reminded me of a cross between IKEA Marketplace and Woolworths! I’d defy anyone to go in and not buy anything… visiting in December, I have never seen so many Christmas related products in one place, including some which I didn’t even know existed in Christmas versions!

I took a recent trip to Avakas Gorge with Evis Jeep Hire courtesy of a fabulous guide called Giannis. Definitely worth looking into, we went to many great places that day but the gorge for me was really the highlight. It was a stunning day weather wise, so really appreciated all we did that day.

I'm sure if you go in the height of summer, it is a very different experience. Out of season travel is to be recommended, particularly in Cyprus.

Paphos is a lovely, family friendly place with great places to eat, great beaches and lots of sights for history buffs. The weather was sunny 4 days out of 5 even though it was December .

The port and harbor are a wonderful place where you can enjoy a quite laid back location. There are plenty of places to eat and drink but is that why you came to Paphos- hope not. Let's talk about the wonderful boardwalk or promenade. It starts from the tourist hotel area but continues to the port. You meander along the route passing the local eateries and pubs and come to the Katos Paphos Archaeological Park. Definitely plan to spend 2.5 hours and enjoy this wonderful park spread out along the windy coast. It only cost four Euros per person with seniors given free entrance. Then, at the Castle, make a right and continue for about 20 minutes along the beautiful EU built promenade to Katos Paphos. You will need to back track or if you're not tired, you can make a right through the parking lot and then take your first right heading back to town. Just do a Google map search to make your life easier. You’ll pass the Kings’ Avenue Mall and this same road will take you back to the harbor in about 30 minutes. Just another quick option, would be to walk on the opposite side of the street from the Mall and walk to the traffic circle. At the traffic circle, make a right and walk 75 meters, You’ll see the entrance ramp to the elevated, all metal skywalk. The nice walk takes less than 10 minutes. When you finish- you’ll ask “ Okay- what do I do now?” There are no signs. Just continue straight. There is a small neighborhood that you’ll come to in about 2 minutes just over the hill. Go through the neighborhood and make a right when you come to the first street and in 5 minutes you’ll be back at the harbour.

A short story about asking directions. While trying to figure out how to get to the elevated walkway, I happened to pass a group of about 10 men sitting and having a coffee and soft drinks. Their outdoor table was just one minute from the Mall. I asked them where the walkway’s entrance can be found. After a 5 minute, heated debate among themselves, they mentioned that they had no idea. I continued on my journey asking several other people on the sidewalk to no avail. Miraculously, I found it- no thanks to any signs. So- to save you all time and a bit of frustration, just follow the above.

This should be a must when visiting this part of the island. You can park here and take in the view or even go down for a swim. A beautiful spot!

bit of a nervous drive with a hire car to the beach but boy, was it worth it!! Ideal waves to teach children to body surf, and those that drive get rewarded with almost certainly one of the best beaches in Cyprus. Cannot recommend enough.
