On a short stay in Iceland this is a must do! Great views, great for kids and wonderful dining experience!

I wasn’t able to see everything in Iceland but our visit to the Perlan helped us fall in love with your beautiful country 🇮🇸

The place is great to photograph the Northern Lights during winter time! When the forecast is good, several photographers gather at this place to make the best shots. Although, there is still enough space to set up the own camera. It is recommended to bring a tripod, but there are also stairs and stones to stabilize the camera when using a remote shutter release. It is also nice to exchange with the other people there about e.g. the forecast or the cameras. The Sun Voyager is lighted at night, but good photos are possible. You also have a great view of the mountains.

Quite pretty building with impressive exterior and interior. We visited during winter time so getting inside this building was not great just because of the view but because of how warm was in side…a good stoping point not to get extremely cold.

Just go here. As a British person the receptionist explained all the Icelandic rules. It is a wonderful experience being in the snow and getting into hot tubs and pools. Great for kids with a slide into a pool. There is a lovely cafe nearby.

Came here to see the northern lights - ideal for if you don’t want to pay for a tour, and if you have a car as it’s only a 10 minute drive from Reykjavik centre. Free parking which is such a bonus and there are some toilets. The walk from the car park to the lighthouse is about 5 minutes - we visited in Feb and it was freezing - multiple layers are needed! We were lucky enough to see the lights on our third visit here - really helpful to get the Aurora app to see where the lights are in the world to estimate when is best to go out there - remember to look through your phone camera as well!

This little island was magical. We enjoyed exploring the cliffs and meadows with the company of various birds and even a harbor seal! The art installations and views were amazing. There’s a cute cafe to get food and drinks at as well. We loved even taking the ferry over. I highly recommend visiting.

Tjornin is a small lake in downtown Reykjavik. It's set just by the modern Reykjavik City Hall.
After visiting the City Hall (free entry) we took a very pleasant walk around the lake. Many ducks and swans and terrific city views from its banks. Highly recommended if weather's good.

Very interesting and informative photographer but also so much fun. My wife and I could not have been happier with anything. The costumes and props were excellent and the photographs turned out absolutely brilliant.
    Many thanks Mink studios

Did the lava tour on Feb 1st with my partner and we had the best time! I rode regularly when I was younger but only do it occasionally as an adult and my partner had only ridden twice ever, and we felt this tour catered well to both our levels. We were asked about our experience before being matched to our horses. My partner was given Harry Potter and unfortunately I can't remember my horse's name but she was very sweet and well natured. Two guides accompanied the tour and were excellent with talking less experienced participants through what to do, and took the time to tell us lots about their stables, the Icelandic horse breed and Iceland in general! It was also great of them to take the time to snap a few photos for everyone during the rest break. Despite the snow, rain and wind while we were out, this was the perfect way to take in the scenery. We would love to visit again in the future!

We booked all our tours through Wake Up Reykjavik and found them to be very helpful. We received confirmation of each tour and the pick up stop. Our guide for the Golden Circle tour was Smari and he was informative, friendly and very helpful. At each stop, he gave us information and we had plenty of time at each place. Lunch at the Tomato Farm was amazing and I can highly recommend this tour and Wake Up Reykjavik.

10/10 hands on and team experience. My husband and I were in the class with 4 others. For each dish we each split up and made a part of the dish. We made a total of 4 dishes but my oh my the Skyr flan with brown whey cheese and toasted oats was by far the best dessert I’ve ever had and the sad part is on my side of the world I won’t be able to get the whey cheese to recreate this dessert.

I did get the chance to recreate the green pea purée at home as they sent an email with all the recipes we created during the cooking class.

There’s also a break in between cooking and plating the food where they went over some Icelandic history and we got to taste rye bread, and smoked artic char, and lamb.

    Overall I highly recommend it.
