- ristosanEspoo, Finland346 contributionsI had previously visited 60 years before but the place still made an impression. As a child I was haunted for years by the painting of the people preparing to cross the river of death. This time I was again in awe but not any more haunted. The mausoleum really has an impact, and the lady guide was so excellent we were just so happy after the visit.Written 21 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikael FHelsinki, Finland31Â 139 contributionsThis Gothic Revival-style church is located next to the river in the city center.
The church is one of the largest in Finland. It was inaugurated in 1863.
The unique church tower made of cast iron is 72 meters tall.
The beautiful glass paintings are made by Magnus Enckell.
The church is famous for its pipe organ. They are relatively new and were built by Paschen Kiel Orgelbau in 2007.
In the middle of June, the church is the main concert venue of the annual Pori Organ festival.
We were met by a friendly guide who gave us thorough information about the church.Written 20 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This building is easy to like, and I was lucky to participate city reception there. Everything was in order and well-maintained with very nice atmosphere. I truly enjoyed staying there.Written 31 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AleksTHuittinen, Finland105 contributionsI went mountain biking in the Reposaari and found this place. Beautiful scenery and alot of pathes to walk or go by bike. The whole Reposaari is like a movie set.Written 14 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JariJKKouvola, Finland6 879 contributionsYyterin näkötorni (Yyteri Observation Tower) is very cheap. The admission fee was only 1 euro. There is a summer cafeteria at the top of the observation tower. The tower is 60 meters high. It is also possible to book activities: wall climbing or abseiling from the top of the tower. Remember to make an advance booking if you are interested in these activities. I didn't need any activities. The scenery and ice-cream were enough for me.Written 16 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TeWeHelsinki, Finland1Â 133 contributionsNot a very fascinating sight, the lighthouse is quite low and the view is nothing special. Nice cafeteria next to it, and it is also nice to walk by the sea.Written 9 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JariJKKouvola, Finland6Â 879 contributionsPolsanluoto is situated next to Kirjurinluoto Park, almost in the city center of Pori. It is easy and quick to walk there from all main hotels in Pori. Polsanluoto is a very beautiful nature area. There is a short (less than a kilometre) nature trail with duckboards on Polsanluoto. There is also a small hand-operated ferry over a small river there. I had a very nice and relaxing morning walk there.Written 18 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
