What travellers are saying
- Stijn DeprilBrussels, Belgium2 contributionsGreat experience and a view in how the people in Orebro lived a couple of 100 years ago. Really nice to still be able to visit this. Must do if you are aroundWritten 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jan Henrik Olsen6 contributionsA huge place and a lot of pools and slides. But in the summer it was very crowded and very noisy. Long lines at the rides and crowded pools. People pushing a lot. Worst part would be the choices of food. Only weird salads and fries which was tasteless. Bring your own food. The floors was really slippery and I almost fell 4 times. Some of the entrances to the outside pool was closed, so it was hard to find the way out.Written 25 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JenstockholmStockholm, Sweden394 contributionsWe were very impressed with the flowers they have, the layout, we talked to a friendly woman who is one of the park caretakers. We sat and didn't want to get up and leave because it is a peaceful place, with its beautiful plants and flowers. We even joked about transferring to Orebrö and buying a flat that would give us a view of this wonderfully beautiful park everyday.Written 7 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JasWilliamsIndianapolis, IN190 contributionsReally a lot of un for the kids. They had a kind of puzzle to solve on one of the floors, and a whole kids' section with costumes to try on and other things to do. Of course, lots of history for the adults, and much of it with English translation. We enjoyed it with our 7 and 9 year-old grandsons.Written 22 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TBMutinyWoodstock, GA227 contributionsWe visited on Midsummer Day in order to attend the festival.
The Manor House is located just outside of Orebro but it is easily accessed by bus, scooter, bike or a walk.
The gardens and trails along the river where very, very pretty and viewing the stables and areas of the manor, it gave a good impression of what life was like. There are interpretive signs at many building in Swedish and English.
A small café is located on the ground floor in back of the Manor House and there is a glass makers shop on the grounds.Written 9 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. More a piece of art than a water tower, it still is a functional building and holds 9 million liters of water.
Visits are free and two elevators quickly takes you up some 50 meter to the observation deck. You can walk around the rim (safely: glass fencing) and have excellent views over Örebro. In the middle there is a café/restaurant.
Recommended if you are in Örebro and like to have a perfect overview.Written 5 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The present park is located on an islet in the Svartån River next to Örebro Castle. It is a really pleasant place to have a walk.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mikael FHelsinki, Finland31 139 contributionsThe Nicholas Church is located next to the Stortorget square. It was completed by the mid 14th century.
Large parts of the church are built in the limestone. The oldest parts have Romanesque style while the newer ones have Gothic.
On our visit, the church was a venue for a festival concert. Also, there was a playground for children. In my opinion, one should respect more the dignity of these old beautiful churches.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AnnaMObergOrebro, Sweden81 contributionsIf you have a car, make sure to travel to Tysslingen lake during the spring and you'll be lucky enough to spot thousands of swans as they stop over for their journey north. There's paid parking and there's a small café in the area, great for bird watching, bring you ultra zoom lens!Written 12 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Obsidian WParis, France30 contributionsA nice museum, especially in the summer with the OpenArt exhibit going on.
There is some pieces of arts and pieces of history. Some infos are in English. There are also a few summaries in English. But most are in swedish, so you have to be a good english speaker and be able to read a bit of swedish to understand everything (or google translate)Written 6 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
