One of the best market in Europe: fresh food, excellent quality, street food, good coffee too, not huge but selected range of products.

Worth the walk from Papir Oen to one of the best places in Copenhagen, great beer, chilled ambience, amazing food and the views of sunset.

Catching the ferry back across to Nyhavn makes it easy

It is centrally located and very easily accessible by public transportation. The place offers many choices for the daily shopping needs and international brands as well. It is a type of Shopping mall that both locals and visitors can find things of need and interest.

This is one of the museums that is included with admission to the Copenhagen Museum. It's a small contemporary art space with rotating exhibitions in a beautiful old church. That in itself is worth the price of admission. IF you paid... ha!

In this case, it was a predominantly sound-based exhibition. There's a small room on the upper floor that had 360 of sound on a 20-something minute loop that was mesmerizing. The top floor has an interesting space too, though I didn't really "get" the current piece that was there. The first floor had a variety of pieces, one of which was four colored (or lack of light) rooms with sound. I found them uncomfortable, which I am sure was the artists' intention. Imagine walking into a pitch-black room with a droney sound. Imagine walking into one of these dark rooms and finding another person in there and getting the living bowels scared out of you upon seeing another human!

Sorry to the poor fella whom I scared.

We used our Copenhagen Card for entry here. Not sure if it would be worth the price if you paid “separately.” By far the most interesting exhibit at the time we visited (July 2024) was the James Turrell Aftershock exhibit. This is absolutely a must if you visit the gallery — it truly challenges your sense of space/reality. We had good luck, and got into the exhibition after only a five minute wait, although it appears that there can sometimes be much longer waits. The other main exhibition (Kapwani Kiwanga) was all right — the exhibition space is truly enormous, and I think that galleries with such large spaces run into some issues where the art they show has to be monumental to fit into the space. Anyway, the Kiwanga artworks are enormous, but I wouldn’t say that I loved them. The design of the gallery is very interesting, and the Reffen Street Food market (a 10 minute walk) was a fun side visit. We enjoyed our experience of the Reffen area. If you want to take the ferry to get there or leave, but sure and check the schedules — they run only every 30 minutes or so. The 2A bus also runs regularly.

A good place for some outlet clothing, and at slightly lower costs.
But dont expect the big savings, but rather you should expect to see clothes, that is no longer found in the main stores, fx also some never designs but in notvso easily sold sizes (xsmall, 3xl). And which still could be of interest.

Oldest and largest mall in DK with loads of interesting stores. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Even has a fitness center and a cinema. Free parking. What’s not to like?

Art, sea, nature and wonderful, well-prepared food.
We really appreciate coming to Munkeruphus. Over the years, there have been many interesting exhibitions tied together nicely with the sea and nature. They serve excellent, high-quality food in a cozy environment where you can eat both outside and inside. And desserts you won't forget any time soon. Nice service and a small shop where you can buy small gifts and art books.

The old gas gasworks are now used as a studio and gallery for glass works (gas - glass!!!) and you can either just watch or actually buy things.

To find such a place in such a fabulous setting was the highlight of our holiday. Watching the glass architects perform their magic in producing amazingly beautiful pieces of sculpture was a privilege. Their Viking ships, made in collaboration with their artistic woodworking colleagues are just stunning. We couldn’t resist bringing one home - our purchase was so well packed, almost with love - and has taken pride of place in our English home.

This is now an art gallery which at the moment exhibits a Leonard Cohen display of his music, writing and poetry. Another half of the exhibition is at the Nikolaj Kundsthall which is an old church located at nearby Nikolaj Plads 10.

Stopped by to see the home of our wedding china. The store is beautiful with all the current patterns. Hand painting exhibitions take place onsite on some days (we missed them). The china is made elsewhere and old patterns out of production are not available but it is great to see where it all starts and the staff was very helpful.
