It was one of the places I enjoyed most in the region. Even my friend who doesn't like museums loved it here. Very good. There were explanations in English. I recommend you to come here.

Visited here while on a cruise to Denmark. Bit like the Black Country Museum/Beamish in the UK. Really quaint old buildings, cars, displays in the shops etc. Well worth a visit but young kids may get bored. Really old fashioned cafe with some nice cakes to try.

Ron mueck’s art completely enchanted me. The display of detail in his works is mesmerizing, I can stare at the details of her work for hours…

“ life and art “ exhibition.

A beautiful botanical garden with so many plants you’ve seen and others you probably haven’t. I can’t believe this is free to just walk around and stay as long as you like. Personally, an hour is plenty here but it is a beautiful place to see.

Known in English as 'the occupation of Denmark museum'.

What an amazing museum. Never knew much about the occupation, tend to hear how it was for Belgians and French, this highlights how equally awful it was for the Danes and the incredibly brave Resistance members.
Learnt so much from this small museum.
English available on displays and in a book provided by staff (volunteers).
The ID CARD biographies was very informative and moving.

A small and very well presented exhibition that doesn’t take ages to look around and see and read everything. For me it was less than 30 mins. Entry price is perfectly proportionate so worth it.

Having exhausted shopping and with time to kill before the train we stumbled across this gem of a museum. It was really interesting and very well maintained there appear to be so many exhibits but I think that is because with restricted space everything is on display. I did like the comic touch of small teddy's appearing in so.e of the exhibits

I am so glad that it found this interesting and informative Museum. It takes you through the Development of Women’s Rights in Denmark from early days.
It highlights those special events and the women involved.
Have a look at the stained glass windows as you walk up the stairs

I stumbled across this museum while walking around the university. I wouldn’t say this needs to be a top Aarhus destination for tourists, but it’s nice for a rainy day or if you happen to be in the area.

The museum is small but well done. About half the signs also have English. The room on scientific principles had a number of hands-on activities. There’s a small but nice medicinal garden as well. The lockers in the cloakroom were free.

The museum is part of the old buildings where patients lived for many years because of their mental illness.
Overtaci lived there for almost 60 years and created many Objects of art. All with Basis in his imagined world.
At the same place you can see how patient of 1. and 2. Class were treated!
If you want to visit you must hurry because it s going to be move very soon.

Aarhus Øje was for me unfortunately a letdown.
I've been in many other paid viewpoints in my trips - its actually something i Love doing - , so when I read about this one wanted to go give it a try.
I paid DKK 149 (aprox 20 euros) and the lovely staff advised me there is an exhibition that is part of the ticket.
I Did that first, its a small room in a basement with screens and decorations educating people about the bay area of aarhus and its bio diversity , with an attached app lots of pointing and reading QR codes(nothing memorable, quite honestly, maybe for families with kids or if you are really invested in learning about the bay and can't wait to see it on youtube).
Then, I went to the viewing platform, on the 43rd floor, via the super fast elevator, and it was... underwhelming.
It was basically a balcony with tall glass windows, with view to the city.
The views are not panoramic - I was hoping for 360 views - as its located only in one side of the building, and some of the angles were not as visible as there seemed to be some maintenance going on and there were machines covering it up, after 5/6 minutes in I snapped some nice pictures and left.
    Are the views nice? yes.
Is the experience worth the price? No.
I would recommend you to save the money and go to one of the museums and skip it, its very overpriced,
This would be a definite yes i the price was around 100 DKK

Innovative and edgy content in this small art museum. Glad we have places like this and the coffee was good too!
