- LiefhebberBreda, The Netherlands7Â 601 contributionsThe Weerribben-Wieden National Park, with over 10,000 hectares, is the largest continuous low peat bog area in northwestern Europe. A labyrinth of ponds and lakes. We started by boat at the picturesque town of Giethoorn. There are several boatroutes. Beautiful and tranquil once you are out in the open and leaving Giethoorn because this place can be too crowded. A must do!Written 6 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ArjanS87Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, The Netherlands88 contributionsWe were attracted to this museum mostly due to the forest experience they have for (small) kids, but the inside of the museum is however also very well done.
Throughout some dioramas, but also separate cabinets a very broad display of forest animals can be seen, that one can.. but likely will not see in the woodlands around the museum.
It turned out very educational for children as well and the children's quest they implemented, it remained interactive for both young kids (3 & 5 yo).
The outside forest trail with frog-themed activities finished it all off.Written 26 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's not big but certainly worth visiting with kidsWritten 16 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn’t want to be in Giethoorn, even though that’s beautiful as well, because we were really looking forward to a quiet trip in nature. And that’s exactly what we got. We only met about four other boats/kayaks during our trip. Highly recommendable when you want to avoid the crowds.Written 2 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Solodam JAmsterdam, The Netherlands35Â 357 contributionsWell, after knowing that the Dinkel river is quite a long one, 89 km way from the Germany accross the border with the Netherland (Overijssel) through some towns and villages, then recrosses the border to Germany again and then joint the river Vecht, I would say that I only saw a very small part of this river. We saw it when we took a walk in the Lutterzand. At some places ( there is a sign of it ) is a resting area for the swallow and kingfisher. The sandy riverbank is beautiful. Nice area for walking.Written 24 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Solodam JAmsterdam, The Netherlands35Â 357 contributionsWe started our walk with a cup of tea at the visitor centre "De Wheem". It's such a local museum, too. Very kind lady welcomed us and gave information about the area. This visitor centre has a map of the area carved on the table ( wide piece of wood ), very special. The path was marked by some wooden animal sculptures. Kids were glad playing on the side of the path which was made for them in the nature. It's a nice area for a walkWritten 30 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EllaMontanaOldenzaal, The Netherlands71 contributionsThis is an outdoor challenge for the young ones, 8 years, as well as the adults without fear of hights!
You can climbe from treetop to treetop with rope, ropebridges and everything in the most save way, after thurrow instructions from the friendly personnel! The harnasses are provided at the restaurant, by the personnel, where you can take a drink or a little something to eat afterwards! There also is a playground for the younger children who are not allowed to climb yet!!
The costs are very low and perfect for a birthdayparty!!Written 10 March 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are so many Black Tern on their floating nest on the water. It was very well managed for the birds as they all have places for nesting. The high reed was so beautiful under the sunlight.Written 10 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands3Â 933 contributionsOn entering Hardenberg from the west, you will see the newly developed Vechtpark on your right handside. It is a result of a project to restore the old flow of the river Vecht and to provide more space to the water. At times waterlevels caused the town center to inundate, now it is easier to regulate the flow. Another objective was to give citizens and visitors an opportunity to enjoy nature and space to do sports of different kinds. Waterrich territory, rather flat and (still) without many trees, yet an excellent place for peace and quiet seekers.Written 16 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
