Fantastic little chain of mask shops, I believe 3 in total. Service was great and staff very helpful picking out genuine hand made masks for our children.
Be sure to seek out one of these stores because the quality of the masks is so good compared to many of the cheap stands and stores you see throughout Venice.

A friend and I had a wonderful half day with Gioia. She couldn’t have been more helpful - even booking restaurants she recommended for us - and everything was beautifully organised. We made risotto, tiramisu and lasagne - and even though we are reasonably competent cooks - we learnt a lot about the Italian way of doing these things!

All delicious and as importantly - light, and very healthy. Would thoroughly recommend

Just loved this experience. Took a full day class with my wife and 21 year old son. Started at the Rialto Market, then went to the fruit and veggie wholesaler, then a bar for some prosecco and cicchetti and then in a water taxi to Enrica's cool and quirky home and amazing kitchen. The highlight is Enrica who is energetic, opinionated, open and welcoming. After picking the most interesting, frech ingredients, we prepared a number of amazing dishes. She asked my son to arrange some music and it felt more like a get-together among friends with an interest in cooking than a formal class. If you want a formal class with a white apron and a textbook, this is probably not for you. I'm sure Enrica would be fine with you writing everything down if you wanted to, but it was fun to hear her tips and secrets (like why she uses lemon peel but seldom lemon juice) and the food (and additional prosecco) was amazing. Highly recommend this experience if you want to feel a bit of what it is to be a Venetian.

We did two tours with Nadia - Venice for Pleasure and Murano, Burano and Torcello. Nadia was recommended to us and she didn’t disappoint. Her knowledge of the city was great and she took us to the quieter, less touristy parts which we liked. She also recommended some good places to eat. She was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed her company and our two tours.

I myself am a retired teacher of English and French as a foreign language. I enrolled in the school for a two week course level C1. The teacher was excellent, but every student I met from the other courses had the same opinion. There was group work, partner work, listening comprehension and some grammar exercises as well. The school is in the Santa Margherita area where there are many cafés and inexpensive restaurants. The school will also find a private room for you or if possible, a room in a student dormitory in the Santa Marta area. After class the school offers free tours of the city´s quarters by guides who have studied art history. Every day there is a different fascinating tour. One night a week there is a cooking evening for a small surcharge to cover costs and each week the specialties of a certain town are cooked. Assuming your Italian is good enough the school offers a Historia dell´Arte course instead of going to a normal class in the morning. I participated in this the second week. We were just 4 students and the one teacher and every day we went to a different museum or church or place of interest. I began to truly understand Renaissance Italian art for the first time. I can only recommend this school to anyone considering studying Italian in Italy.

We took a private mask-making workshop with Margherita and Leonardo in August 2019 with our kids (a teen and a tween). We have traveled all over the world with our kids (28 countries) and this was one of the best experiences we have ever had anywhere. The family is among the oldest mask-makers in Venice. The workshop took place in their studio and included history as well as personal instruction on mask-making for over two hours. They are lovely people and this workshop takes place in their studio. We learned so much and would actually do this again in a heartbeat. Amazing. Just book it!
