The museum is fantastic! It is only open from 4-6pm, but it is free! And there is a really well done 10 min video of the history of the parade. It is not that big, so you can go through it relatively quickly and learn all about this very treasured and sacred past time of Campobasso. Highly recommended.

A great museum that is open all day! We happened to be there on the first Sunday of June and it was free entry, not sure if this applies to the first Sunday of every month or not! But even if you do have to pay it is only 4 Euros each which was a bargain! There was lots to see and the information is in English and Italian. A wonderful museum that is worth seeking out because it is not clearly signposted or advertised anywhere!

At the top of a steep tree-lined avenue, you will find Castello Monforte. Built in 1450 by the local ruler Nicola Monforte. The current construction is the result of later rebuildings after the earthquakes of 1456 and 1805.
The views towards the Apennines are spectacular and I found it well worth the visit. Before you go, do check the opening times.

The view alone during golden hour is worth the visit. Though the church was closed to visitors, you could still imagine how beautiful it would’ve been inside. The stair case leading up and down the church - la salita di San Bartolomeo - gives you the most incredible view of Campobasso. Absolutely breathtaking!

A show stopper on top of a mountainside overlooking Campobasso. Churches are always a must see in Italy, but this one, having been recently restored, is something to see. With a glimpse of La stanza di San Padre Pio, you can feel the incredible history that this church holds, and the memories it has created for those who have made their way to it.

It is a wonderful place to visit and certainly a place to worship but also contemplate. Well maintained and focal point of the City

The Campobasso Cathedral is elegant but very simple in its decor, which in many ways speaks of the sophisticated taste and attention to detail of those who build it and keep it

Stunning views over Campobasso. On your way down to seeing la Chiesa di San Bartolomeo, you have the beautiful ruins of la Torre that just radiates architectural simplicity and strength in its build.
