- felipehavanaJavea, Spain834 contributionsWherever we go in Spain, and elsewhere for that matter, the local market is always somewhere I visit. In Cadiz it was especially interesting and it seems that in the old city every journey somehow took us past the market, which offers a glimpse of daily life in what seems to be the centre of the historic quarter of Cádiz.
Such is the quality of the fish, meat, fruit and vegetables that are sold at the market, that whilst you marvel at the more than 100 food stands, it’s easy to miss the beautiful architecture of the Central Market which is in itself a very impressive building surrounded on all sides by interesting plazas, wide streets, restaurants, bars and shops.
Inside as well as the usual fruit, veg, meat, fish, bread and specialist grocery stalls there is a plethora of bars and restaurants. The wing situated to the left-hand side of the main entrance houses the Rincón Gastronómico, where you can sample freshly made food. Not the normal cafe type place, but a range of establishments providing all sorts of specialist cuisines from all over Spain and further afield. Most of the produce stalls are situated in the central pavilion of the market, and one thing that stands out the most is the colourful array of fish with magnificent examples of bluefin tuna, dogfish, prawns and Sanlúcar king prawns, as well as all manner of local and national shellfish.
Really enjoyed this market and would recommend a visit, you will be there more than once. One word of caution: the tables outside the various places in the food court area are the province of that establishment and consuming anything not purchased from the relevant place makes the owners very grumpy. On more than one occasion we witnessed couples who had obtained food from two different outlets being very firmly told they could not consume what was not purchased there. A bit small minded in my view and counter-productive to providing a variety of fare in one place: but who am I to judge?Written 15 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Graham CUnited Kingdom125 contributionsA must-visit if you are in Valencia. Even if you aren’t interested in buying the weird and wonderful seafood, fish, meat or exotic fruit and vegetables, it’s worth walking around and checking out the sights, sounds and smells. Or just take in the stunning architecture. But there are also good-value buys if you are looking for fresh fruit, dried fruit, refreshing drinks and more.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Evan CLondon, UK5 contributionsI'd highly recommend visiting this market. It's not big but it's got everything you want - from a beer to fresh seafood. If you want to buy fresh seafood I'd recommend PEDRO GALLARDO - a super lovely bloke and he helped me get all the stuff I wanted. Reasonable price, high quality :)Written 27 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Pjotr PNokia, Finland11 contributionsSomething for everyone. A huge complex. Kept pretty good, not a single banged up tile, corner or such. Clean, spacious and easy to access. Propably the nicest shopping mall In europe i’ve been to.Written 26 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AustinDoncaster, UK64 contributionsLove this place. Think it’s only a year old. You can tell there has been no expense spared building this! The setting is fantastic set amongst the rocky backdrop. Great variety of shops! Plenty of parking. Open until 22:00. Daily fountain show at 21:30 is unique, with projections, lights and music, and draws in quite a crowd! Quite a few lovely places to eat and drink too!Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WilBoblingen, Germany5 contributionsA bit expensive, but it's as fresh as it gets. A couple of the meat stands make their own sausages and other items.Written 3 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kw0ksterAyrshire, UK99 contributionsProbably the only shopping mall on Fuerteventura. It comprises of two floors. Main floor comprises of about about a dozen stores including EuroSpar which sells everything a home needs. There is also a small cafeteria which gives a decent cuppa with assortment of patisseries at a very good price.
The main level also has a hairdresser shop if you need a snip. Mobile phone shop, sports and designer shops can also be found here. If you’re looking for a store selling console games or electronics you won’t find it here.
Lower level caters for toilets cafes, indian restaurant and Yelmo cinema with a bowling alley and small arcade/play center for children.
The cinema was disappointing during my stay as they seem to only show movies in Spanish language. Apparently they do show movies with original English language not when we were here sadly.
Lower level leads to the car park and out towards the beach and water feature which needs a good clean.Written 8 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - HeshamCasablanca, Morocco5 contributionsNice and clean outlet with a 40 minutes ride from calao. It’s accessible by metro and buses.
Expect excellent deals from some brands but not all of them. For example, CK had excellent deals but Raulph Lauren didn’t.
It would have been nicer to find more brands there but all in all It’s a great experience and would recommend it to anyone on a shopping spree.Written 17 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - keithamaraSt Ives, UK419 contributionsTradicion have a very good Bodega tour. The guide was extremely informative about all aspects of sherry making and blending, and the tour finished with a tasting of some lovely sherries. The tour also included entry to their art collection where you can get far closer to valuable works of art than in a traditional gallery. Not a cheap tour, but definitely worth it.Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- geraldinevickersBirmingham, UK69 contributionsDefinitely not as large as it used to be. Some stalls I've visited since childhood are no longer there (caramelised nuts, churros etc). Still though, a lovely market! Takes about 2ish hours instead of a whole day to go around it all.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
