- Dr. Christopher G.Augsburg, Germany49 contributionsLegendary football ground with an outstanding atmosphere. If you have the possibility to see a match live there, don’t miss itWritten 7 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 66worldtravellerBad Nauheim, Germany116 contributionsWe went twice to Clip'n Climb, once in Mainz and the 2nd time to Karben, which is called Frankfurt Nord (North). Well Frankfurt North is a bit of an exaggeration, because Karben is not part of Frankfurt and some distance away.
Other than this, both places a well organised, there are many different climbing walls (in Karben some more compared to Mainz) and they are in first class condition. The instructions to our grandchildren were clear, the instructors are taking safety seriously (which is a good thing). The total time, believe it was 90 minutes including instructions an putting on of the harness, is sufficient for most, as quite a lot of energy is used when climbing up the different wall and obstacles.Written 4 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karl PIngelheim, Germany26 contributionsWe like the Rheinwelle as it is a option for swimming and also a nice option for action with kids. Climbing wall in the water, various pools, a kids slide and one for teenagers completes the program. There is also a wellness area, but I have not yet been there.
Owners care about the number of people in the swimming area. If it is full, additional entries are only feasible when people leave.
If you come late that might mean that you have to wait a bit. But you benefit from no overcrowding.Written 18 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CacheonWheels15 contributionsThis is our 2nd visit here, 1st time was our holiday to this area about 3 yrs ago and we enjoyed it so much, we definitely wanted to go back. It only cost us €2 for adults, €1 for children and disabled do not pay for the barefoot park.
There are lots of different walkways to stimulated your body's senses through your feel from dry with various textures to thick cleansing mud and refreshing waters. As a disabled person who also uses a wheelchair I always keep a look out to see how accessible a place is for other disabled people & people using pushchairs. This bare for park is brilliant as there is a smooth compacted path that runs all the way around parallel so you do not have to go through the obstacles, it also means you can still be a part of your friends / family / group. There is a section of mud that you walk through which came up just above my husbands knee so I highly advise younger children stay with their adults and do not go in this part alone,
There are wildlife information boards as you go around to give you an idea of what you may see. Near station 10 is a large seat that is very comfortable looking on to a Lilly pad ponds.
The eating area has comfortable chairs and large strong benches and a fair space to walk / wheel down the centre. There is a good sized disabled toilet, and separate male and female toilets: you have to pay €0.50 and get the key. I felt awkward having to go to the front of the line to ask if anyone spoke English so they could ask a member of staff for the key. Thankfully all in the queue were very kind and helpful. Later on in the day, they had a window open to pay for the golf clubs for the very good mini golf. It would be much better if it was possible to be able to get the key from here all the time instead of having to queue with those wanting to order food / drinks too. My suggestion would be, if you wish to buy food / drinks / ice cream and use the barefoot park and mini golf, is you try pay for it in a combination eg food and mini golf. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced, although the ice creams jam
All the staff and others at the venue were very kind and helpful.
As we got about half way around we saw some helpers at a bench with yellow t-shirts on, and a lovely American guy and they had some tourist leaflets available for the area. I think they are Rangers, as they ensure people have their wrist bands on display for barefoot park, but also offer help and advice if you want it of other places to visit in the area. They were very kind and helpful.
I highly recommend this venue to all and would allow approx 1 hour for each activity depending on your abilities.

Adults pay 6 euro, my 5 years-old child entrance was free.
For us that was great. What else? :-)Written 19 May 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Blue_the_CatLuxembourg City, Luxembourg191 contributionsWe spent a few days in a village close to Gerlostein, and as it was cold and rainy we thought going to the swimming-pool would be a great idea. However, the indoor pool is small, and in two thirds of it my daughter (who still has swimming armbands) was not allowed. Most of the kids were crammed in the remaining one third of the pool and they were jumping and splashing around like crazy (which would have been fine if we could have used the entire pool - would have enough space for everybody). In the two thirds of the pool classes were taken place - but we have not been informed about it when we entered (we might have come another day). The pool and facilities are rather old, but usable, and in summer with all the outdoor pools and slides it is probably nice. However the biggest shock was when we finished and went to dry out hair - you pay separately for the hair dryer, with 5 cents coins - if you don't have then, tough luck. I didn't even try to change some coins at the reception - I only had banknotes and I was not looking forward to a wallet full of small coins.
In short, don't go in wintertime unless you are really desperate. And if you go, have 1 Euro coins for the lockers and 5 cents for the hair-dryer.Written 24 November 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - camping_addict1Leeds, UK34 contributionsWe were staying at the campsite next door and decided to spend a couple of hours at the pool. This turned into a whole afternoon.
The pools themselves are fabulous, being very large, spotlessly clean and offering something for everyone. The 1m, 3m and 5m diving boards and 1m and 3m springboards are open at different times (always at least one of them open) and there is plenty of room in the 'deep end' for some serious swimming. The play area is enormous and is still deep enough to have a good swim but also has a great water slide and a couple of fountains. There's also a baby pool with a slide, although we didn't pay much attention to this.
When you want a break from swimming it's lovely to sunbathe in the huge grassed areas (some big trees dotted around if you prefer shade) and there are loungers available to hire.
The cafe offers basic snacks (hot dogs, chips, etc) plus drinks and ice creams and there are plenty of tables on the patio area.
An absolutely brilliant place to go on a hot day.Written 28 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
