- Stephen G6 contributionsThe tour was very good even though it got canceled halfway through due to rain. Sascha was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. Once the rain came, we sat in a cafe talking for a while about all things Germany and Köln. - arunpersson4 contributionsChris was very knowledgable about the beers and history of cologne, he could answer all of our questions. All the breweries are close to eachother so you don't need to walk very far.
Chris was also very friendly and fun, felt more like having a beer with a friend then a tour.

To feel that level of cold against my face is something I would pay hundreds of dollars for during the Phoenix summers.
People complained about not being in the ice room long enough, but what else was there to do in there but have a couple of drinks? The trip was just the right length with the audio portions repeated in English which benefited us. - Amy KGuangzhou, China7 contributionsWe had an amazing experience! Dirk was so knowledgeable and kind; he contacted me a few days before to ask about our interests. He completely customized his tour based on our interests and our other plans. He showed us champion sites- what he considered the best of Cologne that may not even be suggested by tourism sites. He pointed out interesting Prussian history for me because that is my heritage. A super neat highlight was going to the city office to see the 3D model of the city- it really helped us orient ourselves. We ended up eating at every restaurant he recommended; they were all delicious. This tour truly made our trip fantastic. We also were so lucky to do this our first day in town as it helped us map out the area and plan the rest of our trip. Since it was the beginning of the tourism offseason, our group was very small (6). We spent plenty of time at the cathedral, strolling the river walk area, & walking through town. We also took a touristy tram ride around downtown. We were not given any free time to eat or shop. We then drove to Limburg, an extremely charming village with an ancient cathedral. It was so lovely but most everything was closed.
It was a great way to spend a full day outside of Frankfurt & learn more about the area & its history.
