Even on an off day with the threat of rain this was very enjoyable. All types of produce and meats. Lots of kiosks for shopping and surrounded by some first rate stores. Kinda like a small scale Boqueria in Barcelona.

We had found out about this place from the tourist office in town, which turned out to be just around the corner from the Mustard Factory. There is a great entrance and shop out the front.
The different products made are on display and available for sale. You can taste the different products and range of sizes of pots filled with mustards available, as well as other materials.

The best part for us was the tour through the factory to see all the different processes involved and how the different flavours are developed. The tour and time spent was around 1 & 1/2 hours and was time well spent

As a tourist we found the place catered for different languages as well. The girl who was our guide spoke several languages and was a font of information.

The area around the Mustardry also contained a number of stores selling old bric a brac and papers.

    Not to be missedl

Think Dijon - think mustard. This cute boutique is right in the middle of the city and has plenty of ideas for nice gifts or useful souvenirs to bring home. They have a whole bunch of different kinds of mustard and other sauces as well. Mark up on the price for sure, but come on, are in the mustard capital.

On our way home from the market with all our fresh produce we stopped at La Route Des Vines to buy a bottle of the best Burgundy. Not knowing the wines of the district we were assisted with an excellent choice - a Pinot noir - Marsannay Marie Ragonneau for 21 euros.

Went for a degustation here and had a great time - really friendly and knowledgeable staff and some lovely wines! We headed to the shop afterwards and had a browse of their fantastic selection of local vintages, with bottles to suit every budget. The shop has brilliant climate control to keep the wines in good condition, unlike some places we've been. Bought a really nice bottle of Pommard at a very reasonable price, and will definitely go back to pick their brains and buy a few more bottles next time we're in Dijon!

Au Duche de Bourgogne is located on one of the corners of the busy Place de la Republique. It offers a big outside terrace as well as indoor seating.

The restaurant has daily specials, as well as an extensive menu including salads.

We had lunch here on a warm and sunny day, under one of the big umbrellas, which was a nice experience.

This shop reminds you of an old fashioned store. Wooden door and window frames. Lots of things displayed in the windows. The bell on the door that rings when you walk in. Friendly staff helped me pick a nice hat and helped me with the differences in sizing between France and the U.S. Great selection of hats. Not the cheapest but so much inventoryl

The shop is delightful and the owner a knowledgeable and charming purveyor of gourmet delights. This however only adds to the dismay of our experience!

My friend and I visited your shop on 4/8/17 and made several purchases including the black truffles that you vacuum packed. Unfortunately the vacuum pack on both my friend's and my truffles and the truffle sausage lasted a day before the vacuum was lost.
Needless to stay both the sausage and truffles were completely spoiled - soft, mushy and malodorous rendering them inedible- see images below.

Having told you our plans of being on holiday for a further 5 days without refrigeration you told us the vacuum would be ok for at least 10 days without refrigeration.

Well this clearly was not the case. As you probably know and certainly should know that truffles can harbour contaminants such as Clostridium botulinum and as such the totally ruined truffles not only were a disappointing waste of money but also posed a potential health risk.

It was was wholly improper and misleading of you to sell us this fungi with inadequate vacuum packing and inaccurate information.

It was a lovely trip to Dijon that was spoiled by this experience.
