For a town of this size it must be one of the best museums in the country, and it also has extensive archives for those looking to research family history or other local topics.
If you are in Lerwick, I would really recommend a visit it was one of the best local museums I've been to, and we would certainly visit again in the future!

There is also an excellent cafe in the museum, a good thing because it takes hours to appreciate the Museum which is completely accessible and uses fascinating scenographic reconstructions to tell the stories.
