We had our wedding at House for an Art Lover, and it was exactly what we wanted. The customer service is excellent, and the support from the Wedding Co-ordinators was outstanding. Everything from the food to the small details was executed perfectly, so I would recomment the venue to everyone.

I visted two exhibitions here in March, yes alot of the building has been destroyed but very much so still a lively hub of creative energy. It is worth a walk from the town, Garnethill a very interesting part of Glasgow, albeit quite steep!

Climb the steps and you have a great view of the city. Take the lift and you get an alternative perspective. The Mackintosh exhibition is very interesting with models, time lines and furniture, there is a cafe and a shop too. Lovely staff made the whole thing even more pleasurable

The whole museum is well worth a visit, but the highlight for us was a whole apartment designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a fascinating experience for those interested in design.

Skip all the usual souvenirs/tat on the high street and shop here instead! They offer a wonderful selection of gifts, souvenirs, and art pieces; all hand-crafted locally in Scotland. A must-visit for any tourist in search of a keepsake.

Always a super way to do some Christmas shopping and I’m looking forward to going to the next one in November 2021. I’ve picked up some fantastic unique gifts here for the last few years, always different makers/artists of a consistently high standard in attendance.

Nice visit today. Had the pleasure of attending a third year recital by Niamh Doohan (fiddle) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and an exhibition by Renee Helena Brown entitled A Strange Eight.
    Great space for the Arts

Really interesting. Can’t wait to see the building reopen in 2019. Laura L was very interesting and brought the tour to life as she had studied there before the fire.

The Art Nouveau appointments alone are enough of a justification to visit, but then there are the acres of paintings in all styles from all over the country that make this is a delightful visit. The food is extremely limited, so by all means, have a glass of wine when you visit, but you probably want to eat your food somewhere else.

We lucked out in that the well-stocked and high quality antique shop was open. Many of the shops and studios were not open we we were there, at around lunchtime on a Wednesday.

The Piece Sandwich shop (1056 Argyle) is very close and makes great sandwiches for take out/take away.

I recently played this course with a group of friends. Unfortunately it had been raining for a few days and the course was waterlogged. Course is well designed and moderatly challenging. Worth playing but not when it's had a few days heavy rain.

Spent an afternoon browsing, Glasgow is famous for and has lots of museums and galleries so hard to choose. Pleasant way to spend some time

Came here for the opening night of the Oscar Marzaroli, was left to stroll around the exhibition at my own pace, lots of people but that added to the buzz about the exhibition, was able to take photos of the photos and nobody batted an eyelid, a little bar open with Drygate cans, was able to sit by the window and just watch people enjoying looking at the exhibition. Accessibility good, and disabled toilets nearby and clean. A great arts building, housing a unique Russian dining experience, well priced shop too where postcards and prints of the ivonic photos were available. I will definitely visit again to see other exhibitions. Thoroughly recommend visiting the Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre in the same building, unlike anything you will have ever seen or experienced!

Such a cool place, a real creative hub. I love to lounge there with a coffee and my notebook, and the exhibits are regularly refreshed.
