What travellers are saying
- magb379Ayrshire, UK1 contributionWelcomed to the experience with a lovely glass of gin. Then we took part in a tasting session. Next was the opportunity to make your own gin using a great variety of herbs. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the experience as a whole was fantastic. We certainly recommend this experience. Thanks to Crossbill. Margaret & LesWritten 19 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- J M1 contributionBeen here 3 times and it’s so much fun. The staff are so helpful, especially Cat who was so lovely and attentive, it made our experience ten times better! There are a range of items to choose from to paint including mugs, plant pots, plates and little animals. There are cheaper options for those on a budget and the BYOB also helps with that. Highly recommend! (The photos are our objects before they get glazed - after glazing they are a lot more pigmented and shiny of course).Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David V4 contributionsMy wife, looking for something different to get me for Christmas, decided to book a sgian dhu making session for me. Turned up on the morning to be greeted by the smith, a quick run through on some of the health and safety points for the forge, then it was apron on and away we went!. Great instruction and explanation during the session, with some banter chucked in too, you are made to feel at ease, everything is explained clearly and simply. All in all it was a great experience which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I'll be back at some point in the future to do some more. Can't rate this place highly enough, would recommend it for anyone looking for something a bit different to do.Written 12 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KarenC1382Glasgow, UK70 contributionsVisited here today with my two children (aged 8 and 3) and a friend with her two children (aged 7 and 6). I had some preconceived ideas based on the name but have to admit that I was a little disappointed. For me it was a cafe with an activity room (I likened it to a local community centre or similar that run school holiday activities that the kids can take part in for a couple of pounds) but the kids seemed to enjoy it, which I suppose is the point. The kids are taken to a room (windows all around for you to view what they're doing), they're given a choice of animal mould to make and then a small pre moulded bar to decorate. For £13 a head for 45 minutes I didn't think it was value for money. I would of thought that you would of been given a tour of an actual chocolate production area or something, but from what we saw I don't even think they make chocolates on the premises (if they do they hide it well).Written 14 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eilidh R1 contributionI stumbled across the shop and couldn't of been more impressed with their products and the shop owners mum was amazing telling us all about the ingredients and how the business started! Will definitely be using their products from now on since I know for certain they are 100% natural unlike other brands!Written 2 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Always such good advice from them. The shop has THE best selection of fabrics from a variety of different companies, including Liberty. They always have the coolest prints in stock. I’m disabled and don’t always managed to get out the house, but luckily they have a fast turn around on orders and deliveries are free over £75, also look out for their ‘fabric Friday’ on TikTok and Instagram where they show you the fabrics, how they drape, and suggest what they could be used for. (Again, so helpful for me if I can’t leave the house to shop on my own).
They run some fab courses, both in store and online, and have something for every level of sew-er. What a lovely team and lovely community to get involved in. Thanks guys! If you are in Glasgow it is well worth attending some classes they are fun.I went to the student show last Friday the show was excellent all the performers were very good and well trained from the young clowns to trapeze artistsWritten 31 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - geob01Glasgow, UK30 contributionsGreat wee course for high and mid handicappers. Not that long a course but the greens are small so your chip onto the green has to be good. There is a clothing shop, hairdressers, cafe, driving range and professional golf tuition. Although there is not the usual feel of a golf club its a great wee place to learn and improve.Written 16 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have a place down in Dumfries and Galloway and fairly recently opened at Braehead, staff and facilities are brilliant.

the tutors are slightly mad but enthusiastic at bringing students along.
the atmosphere on these nights is always very friendly.
at 7pm before the class there is a join in session where it isnt a crime to play a wrong note unless you sound like less dawson!
ive improved my playing, first in whistle. and now fiddle my 2 problems with whistle are 1 i run out of breath and 2 i am a whistle wetter. i have attended ww meetings anonymously to no avail....... and recently with the fiddle again.
look up the various tutors on the website to get the idea.
im sure you can turn up, talk to a tutor then sit in on a class.( advise a raincoat if its my group) to see if its for you.
ps you dont need to read music. the tunes are taught slowly one note at a time
ps even the WW is improving..Written 11 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's really good fun!
The classes are also well structured with a good progression in spite of the big mix of levels. What ever your level is, this place will be suitable for you.Written 24 February 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
