Fantastic experience with a great guide and safety man . Felt safe and prepared before entering the water. Great instructions throughout. Adrenaline rush down the river . Bonus of a quality photographer who got some great shots to purchase afterwards. All in all great day out .

Get wet is a smaller locally ran adventure centre based in 'The hub'. Dont go to the Water Sports Centre at Bala. From start to end, we were greeted by the team, carefully led through instructions (don't be put off by these as they take you through worst case scenarios). Arriving at the water 2 rafts full of testosterone from the other centre nearby nearly put me off too as a less agile woman in my 50's I was thinking is this a good idea? Well yes it was, the instructor Jen was clear, fun and made us feel safe throughout. It was fantastic, lasting nearly 2 hours. Thank you so much for making my year. To polish it off a gorgeous hot chocolate and home made banoffe pie in the friendly hub cafe. What a perfect day.

Kieran was welcoming, friendly & explained well how to navigate the kayak. He gave us time to find our bearings and we quickly got the hang of kayaking! He chatted as we paddled along to the lonely tree telling us about the local area/historical buildings that we could see lining the lake. Once the lesson had finished we launched ourselves into the lake! Would 100% recommend joining Kieran if you are in the area as he will look after you!

    Exceptional service

I don’t say this often, as the standard I expect from a service based operation is high!

We arrived for a drink on Friday 23rd after a 3h drive
I’d forgotten to feed the dog after a walk…
    I know!!
I was going to pop back and solve the problem, but as we ordered some food we enquired if they had anything suitable
We received a ‘don’t worry, I’m sure we can sort something’ response..
    And they did!
The service all evening was excellent, we left happy, if a little worse for wear!

The next day after a group walk, the gang wanted to have a post climb beer, so we suggested going back since our experience was so good!

Once again they cleared 2 large tables for us so as to accommodate the group
Most ate there and all drank, the food once more was great quality and well presented

Our final day saw us taking the dogs for a leg stretch near by, with the view of having some breakfast here on our way back!

We got there 15mins after last servings for breakfast
However, we were told, if you don’t mind waiting 15 mins, we can cook you something…they had cleared away but were so accommodating

There is no way we dropped lucky 3 times!
The attitude of the staff was consistently exceptional!

Over the 3 days, all 20+ people we attended with had the same view!

Thank you so much to all for looking after us
We are likely to return as residential guests 🙂

The staff were amazing particularly one young lad who was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble.
The canoeing experience was enhanced by the care and attention of the staff.

We booked this as a final activity before we headed home and it was so much fun. We hired three paddle boards, wetsuit and lifejacket and the kids loved it. It was really reasonable for 2 hours of fun and relaxed.

Superb experience for all ages. They really did us proud with four different activities for 28 young people; covering raft building, canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling.

This was so much fun, I 100% recommend if anyone is coming to Aberdyfi. Debbie and Dave were really patient and informative during our paddleboarding session (we’re newbies!). But they still made the whole experience super fun and made us want to do again. They also gave some great advice about the surrounding area and were overall lovely people.

Like most cruises along rivers or lakes this was no different, it was pleasant enough, about an hour, up and back again! worth the lovely view and another trip to cross off the list

Its a real, abandoned slate quarry. A small centre but with everything you need for a pleasant dip. Great for training too. Also a PADI dive school run by the impressive Clare Dutton, but I can't comment on the training side as we were just there for a pleasure dive.

I went with my work group and we explored the slate mines, went canoeing which was incredible, we had marshmallows and popcorn, we went sailing and paddle boarding and then we went gorge walking, which i enjoyed the most as i found a fossil, which im so happy with. The instructors where incredible and were so helpful in helping me when i needed it most. Ive made so many memories and accomplishments that i never thought I'd make and i can't say how how much i loved the experience.

    Amazing weekend at Bala!
Claire’s Challenge 2019 has been a huge success!
Thanks for Minnie’s lesson and your support in the challenge and raising over £1;000 for Cancer Research.
    Hopefully see you next year!

I have used Kayleigh and her company a few times over the past few years. The last time was for my daughters 16th birthday. We booked Kayleigh to do a paddleboard session for her and a few friends. The girls loved it and Kayleigh made sure that even the most inexperienced was up on their feet within a very short space of time. They then all paddled off and had a great session which included a bit of "jumping off rocks" to add even more adventure to the session.
A Days' Adventure is my "go to" when arranging days out with friends and family and I would highly recommend. I have a raft of priceless memories thanks to Kayleigh and her adventures.
